Default Astral Projection - Sleep vs Sleeplesness

When I attempt to project, one of two things happen. Either I simply fall asleep (can't use a loud timer at night and headphones fall off) or I remain sleepless and can't avoid the urge to move my body and remain grounded to this "plane".

Can anyone give me any advice on how to deal with this?

I have heard the buzzing in my head a couple of times (when my mind was completely awake) but no earth shattering vibrations or an actual conscious projection.

You can move and still stay in trance. This one screwed with me for weeks when I first started. I would lay perfectly still, and I wouldn't move even if I started to be uncomfortable. Then the tension would keep me in my body when I tried to project.

Your trance state doesn't immediately evaporate the second you move a muscle. One time when I was solidly in trance, I got up, went to the bathroom, got a drink of water, then laid back down, and never left trance the entire time. I didn't realize I was in trance at the time, I just thought I was awake. But as soon as I laid back down, dream imagery sprang right back into my fully awake mind.

My best advice for you is to stretch extensively before a projection attempt. Get as relaxed and loose as possible before lying down. Then spend a few minutes feeling all your muscles getting heavy. This will dissociate you from your body. You can still move, but your mind won't be focused on maintaining your physicality. Your first few projections probably won't be complete anyway, you'll have awareness of your body even after you project.

Hello Everyone!

This is my first time posting. I have to say I have always been a Believer of the things of the Beyond and Unknown. This certainly explains a lot of my certain feelings there is things going on that is unseen. If I may briefly share a small story with you all. Over 10 years ago I worked at a Bank Data Center in Los Angeles, CA and I was working Security on the Overnight Shift. I was on my 45 min Lunch break. Most of us on Security just sleeps during our Lunch break. So on this day, I was really comfortable sleeping on one of the chairs in one of the conference rooms on the floor I patrol. The room is almost fully dark except for the little light that comes in from the hall. My cell phone was set to go off 40 mins later with the loudest possible alarm to wake me up so I can get back to work. As soon as I closed my eyes to sleep. Not even 10 mins later I saw myself sleeping in that chair in the same room I was in at work. Then I started to dift upwards going through each floor of the 12 floor building. Then I was suddenly on the roof looking at Los Angeles Skyline around 2 or 3 am in the morning it was a very clear night. I just drifting and flying around. I was like “Umm… is this real” by the way I had no control of anything back then, I was just simply aware and nothing more.

I thought it was just another dream. But a dream as real as that, I am convinced now that it wasn’t some dream and there is a lot more to our world than that meets the eye.

Since that day I didn't think much of the Astral Plane and its existence until recently. At that time I simply just dismissed that occurrence as some weird experience and moved on in life. As a Searcher of the Truth. For years I thought mainstream Christianity was the answer. You see at first I initially thought of Heaven and Hell way of Christianity and one had to be saved and so on. Then I began to no longer believe in that… I then moved on to believe in Universal Salvation, where all would be saved regardless one day. Then I later concluded to this day… While I still believe in Universal Salvation for all for the most part, but I further conclude its not going to be as simple as one may make it out to be. I believe the Planes beyond our world will have a great deal of involvement in one way or another for our future as a whole to come.

With all of that being said, Please forgive me for my wall of text. I say all of this because recently I tried entering the Astral Plane a few times in the last 2 months and I believed I could had been close to success but I was coward and backed out.

I felt strong warm vibrations around my body and my heart rate jumped exceedingly. My attempt previous to my last I heard a Very Loud popping noise as if I was disconnecting to something. The most frightening thing I have ever heard in my life.

I read that in regards to being able to genuinely project successfully into the Astral Plane one has to be of clear and of positive mind. And literally have no fear.

I don't know if I can be of no fear, some fear even 1% can lurk around.
How can I put my mind to complete and total peace and be of no fear.

What do any of you suggest? Thank you so very much for reading. Any response anyone is willing to provide! Thank you.
