The Last Genuine Piece Of Advice I Asked For and the email I cannot respond to......

Life is so funny. In a fit of confusion many months ago, I joined a forum on hair care and sent a message to a lady I admired asking her about change, how it happened, when she knew it was time to change. She's spiritual and I knew this. But life, as I said, is funny and it took many many months for her to respond because she never signed online.

Since sending her the email, I began to learn about change and I found that changing to be a part of something was not the answer, that if one is truly to change, it will be because one has learned better. It comes from inside. But I still wanted to hear about her.

Well, as the months went by I decided that she had moved beyond that webpage and no longer used it to assist in her hair growth process. I never cared about the site and so I deleted my page without getting a response from her.

Today, I get an email from her that reads as follows:

Hey [Prinie],

This is a process that comes from within and it happens naturally when it's the right time, because something within yourself will feel different. When
change is right, it's because you will see new perspective on regular every day things and it's because you have been processing and growing on a daily basis. So this is something gradual. If you attempt to make changes based on what others are doing or not doing then it's not going to last and you will be cheating yourself out of genuine personal growth.

I decide that I need to respond to her email and thank her for her response, even though I had come to learn this on my own in the months following my email. When I go to do so, however, I remember that I deleted my page and would need to sign up again for registering. Lo and behold, the site that was once free now requires that those who would like to register must pay a fee of $5.95 for a 12 month subscription. A fee I will not pay.

*Sigh*
