Default What is the difference between belief and conviction?

How do you differentiate between these two? Does one of it is better than the other?

You can believe something and yet not speak about it with conviction. You can speak with conviction about something and yet not completely believe in it. Acting, speaking with confidence, being bold is all a part of conviction. "YOU SUCK!" can be said with conviction and yet you could be joking and not really believe the person you said it to sucked...

Conviction is just a strongly held belief as far as I understand.

Really, an illusion? How do you define this illusion?

The belief is an illusion of truth. Conviction is making yourself live the belief.

And all this because of greed.

Truth is not relative unlike beliefs which are opinions of the human condition which are many and different.
