Social progress of humanity as a result of a higher consciousness?

It seems like humanity started off with freedom and acceptance but then became really strict, and now things are going back to freedom and acceptance...


Look at this, it is in chronological order:

humans started off naked and living naturally.

Later, they started to wear clothing.

Slavery was the easy way out of doing work, so many adapted this.

Religions are formed repressing human nature (sexuality, nudity, eating habits, harmful rituals and traditions).

It got so bad, that people became paranoid and started killing each other (Calling each other "witchs" and "devils").

It's OK for someone to be of a different religion (but many people are still discriminating).

Eventually people become more accepting. [Freedom Of Religion]

People were dislike the ones who dislike slavery.

They used their holy books to "prove" that slavery is OK.

Eventually the slaves got their freedom. [slavery abolished]

The slaves are considered second class citizens along with women.

The woman and slaves become regular citizens [equal rights for different races and genders]

Certain gender roles become unisex (instead of being called "masculine" or "feminine"). [sexism is shamed]

It's OK to be nude out in public in some places [Freedom to dress up or be in natural human skin]

TV shows are shamed if they are not portraying a perfect American family.

TV becomes censored.

TV becomes more realistic and reality TV is formed. [More TV freedom]

Gays are allowed to have sex and not go to jail. [Being gay no longer illegal]

Gays are allowed to marry in certain countries. [More gay freedoms]

Based on this, You can see how humanity is progressing. We are becoming more and more accepting of different ideas. What do you think about this?


I would also like to make some predictions based on the progress which I KNOW will eventually happen because humanity is going more and more towards freedom:

Predictions:

• TV will be allowed to say more and more curse words and will eventually allow nudism.
• Eventually people in love with animals and robots (if we ever get that far), will fight for marriage.
• Since animal-love isn't banned everywhere, animal lovers will move to those states.
• People may still be religious but they will have more of a "humanity is one" and a "universal God" concept.
• Individuality will be normal and everyone will be seem as equals BECAUSE they are all different.

It seems like this happens as a result of people's consciousness raising and becoming more accepting (peaceful) than fearful and scared of change.

Actually, homosexuality is no different to obesity or anorexia, or the act of having contempt or derision for those afflicted with such. They are all manifestations of the reactive mind meaning we acquire all of them from our environment at some time in our past. All of these conditions can be repaired. Nobody needs to live with any condition just because we as a society don't understand how to repair them.

Blame, shame, ridicule, judgement, fear, guilt, contempt, condemnation are just some of the tools of the modern human that we use to screen acceptable from unacceptable in our society. Modern humans are running on a low-intellect setting because we are controlled by our environment as much as or more than our selves, but we are completely unable to tell the difference.

We started with freedom a long time ago but over the years our reactive behaviors started a long chain of events where each generation contaminated the next a little more. Whether we accept or deride any aspect of a society comes down to how we are preprogrammed to handle it. Your predictions are probably not far off if we don't consider raising the intellectual capacity of the average human as we are well down that slippery slope already. But it isn't freedom, not even close.

Even if it can be "changed", most gay people don't want to be straight, they just want their freedom to be gay, and freedom is important.

We used to live in clans, have sex in clans, raised children in clans, etc. I think we will get back to those days. For everyone who is married and has in- laws over for a longer period knows how non-linear emotions become once you go from 2 to 3 or 4 adults. So for me living in a group of 10 to 20 people would be a sign of a huge jump in consciousness.

Arpee...I see what you're saying. I feel like we're in a regressionary period right now. Slowly coming out of it. That's my perspective anyway. I don't know why people would fight for animal marriage however. The only think I can think of would be social acceptance. Maybe that's just what you meant? Personally, I think we should take a long hard look at all the suffering we're imposing on other species. I don't think what we do to them corresponds to a general level of consciousness. It's more of a reflection of our collective power to just ignore stuff. Made all the more easy by those who profit from animal exploitation.
