Seriously, what in the world could he have said to justify a warning? I've said things ten times more reprimandable than he has, and no one's said a thing to me (well, except once, Brutha said something a while back, but he was perfectly justified).
I've accumulated a bunch actually. Hopefully your world hasn't shattered.

Yes, I'll actually miss this thread I've created. Great stuff, in here, if you ask me (if embarassing for myself ).

And yes, I am Beingist everywhere. Even my email is beingist@hotmail.com (though that doesn't give anyone [except Criseyde] permission to spam me ).

Actually, I think I, myself, tried to derail it after the 3rd or 4th post.

LOL. No, my world is far from shattering. I just don't get it. I've just never witnessed you saying anything that warranted a ... warning(?). Others I can see, but you? Naw.

Guess that's why I've never been asked to be a mod around here.

Well I'd reached my wits end I guess. I have nothing to be so depressed about yet time and time again getting sucked into this suffering. And I can see it with friends of mine too but I don't have the relationship to be able to say..it's just Maya! They'd probably never talk to me again, although I think more and more people are opening up to the ways of the mind I have to say. Anyway, as I say am not quite there yet as very often catch myself caught up in negative thoughts and it's not until afterwards that I realise I've been doing it..so I think I'll be chatting to you elsewhere :-)

No worries, Sponge. Love is love, and if your friends love you, they'll still talk with you. I had similar issues some years ago, and it all works out for the best. They won't heed your advice, necessarily, and as mine do, they'll probably think you're 'out to lunch', but if they do, you can just tell them that at least you're enjoying your lunch.

I'm also with you on the suffering part. We've all gotta go through it to grow spiritually. It helps just to know that there are fellow sufferers.

After circumnavigating Australia twice on a Spruance-class, U.S. Navy destroyer, I have heard what the Australians do to the English language.

I will say again, though, as I have in other threads, that I still love the way they pronounce their 'Os', as in, "theyas noiy ploice loike hoiym".

Love it.

I'm originally American (non-regional North American educated accent), but I've lived in Oz for more than a dozen years. You can imagine how I muck up the language.

Wish I could give you a prize, Sponge, but it would only be blowed up with forum, unfortunately.

I don't usually pay attention to those numbers, either, except when they go from 3 digits to 4 digits, however odd that sounds. I just never figured I'd have a thread get so post-y, and in such a relatively short amount of time.

Suffering is very subtlety valued in the mind. Most people don't actually want to give up their suffering despite often telling you the outright opposite.

Spirituality and rules never seems to vibe very well. People try to stay in their comfort zones at all costs.

Makes sense. With me, the surrendering part seems to be happening rather gradually, in spite of myself. But, I know what you mean about not wanting to give up the suffering. Such happens on ever deeper, and ever more subtler levels.

I expect at some point I will go through a major shift, where suffering will take on a whole new ... dimension, but I'll let that happen as (or even if) it happens.

There's a line in the song 'Mad World' that to me encapsulates the bitter sweet process of surrender in which suffering still seems to be of importance while it is undeniable that surrender is the road to peace.

"I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad; The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had".

Oh. My. God.

That's been one of my all-time favorite songs since it first came out when I was in high school. And I only just now understood that lyric.

Holy crap. It's moments like these, when I can't help but wonder if the mind's tendency to repeat itself over and over again don't affect one's ultimately actuality (not one's Reality, but more their life-changing events).

Of course, that's just a thought, though, and as such, passes quickly enough.
