Default Limitless--The Movie

I just saw this movie and other than being a great movie , I think it really shows how it is to be "enhanced" or how my brain would work if I were enlightened Highly recommended--it is a bit violent though. Anyone seen it?

That super drug exists in real life. It's called Adderall.

Adderall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Adderall was created to treat ADHD. I am not sure it is a 'super drug'. I knew quite a few people popping Dex in the law libraries.

I want to get my hands on the Limitless drug big-time. In fact I googled exactly this after watching the movie and that's how I first came across this forum.. haha

After having read the Wikipedia page, Adderall is an amphetamine which means that once taken, you probably experience a large dose of self confidence and a sense enhanced well being which in turn makes you feel like you know everything. Ampehtamines can be very addictive and the side effects seem really severe, to include high blood pressure and sudden death and/ or seizures.

Given the side effects, what real utility do you plan to acheive from taking such a drug? Is it really worth the risk? Will it enable you to be smarter while studying, or will it just enable you to stay awake longer so that you can study for longer?

It's a mixed bag. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Btw, I was just kidding about Adderall, but let me explain it a bit more. It's not like crystal meth or cocaine or something intense, it's more subtle and mild than this. I took Ritalin for a few years which is a similar Amphetamine derivative though less potent than Adderall. It's not like some bouncing off the walls stuff, it focuses you and creates motivation to do specific detailed tasks like study. It got you in the "flow" more easily and you weren't as distractable. Instead of me reading the page and forgetting what I just read, I would read several chapters and retain it. It worked quite well for me. My grades improved dramatically and I enjoyed mental work. The downside for me was it made me even more neurotic than I already am and I had no appetite while on it.

I am not after drugs/medication to have the effect either. I had my good share of ecstasy/cocaine experiences during my NYC clubbing scenes. Listening and feeling the music is unexplainable. It has whole different journey dancing or just listening the music while you are on them. It becomes so beautiful you can't enjoy anything else that is why I stopped. I still have flashbacks when I listen genius house music dj's. But I m wondering how wonderful it would be to reach that state with meditation and spiritual work and make it a natural state. I guess it was how Budha, Jesus and others felt. If 2012 ascension is indeed true then this should be the way ascended ones will live I guess.
This movie is inspired and motivate me to meditate!

Really? I just got done meditating and it's nothing like that movie lol.

The Tree of Life or Into Great Silence are the closest movies to enlightenment I can think of.

I think the real life version of that "drug" is an opening of the mind, and an integration of the greater, unconscious mind with the conscious mind. You'd be surprised what you're capable of.

An excellent line of research in this direction is the work of Michael Hutchison. Megabrain and Megabrain Power. Then go join the MIND-L mailing list. Go neurotech and neurochem!!!

That's a lot of minds playing with each other there.

Highly recommended--it is a bit violent though. Anyone seen it?
okay let me get this straight:
You encourage - others to go see a movie, that:
1. has the usual violence-elements

2. enhances, via such psychogenic crap!!!! as ADDERALL

3. lies about making one 'enlightened'

4. makes more mumbo-schmumbo about LIMITless

5. is "highly recommended". - by who?

shrinky psychiatrists??: I just posted in another Forum,
after someone asked me about NLP

NLP: learn to control your own Mind
