Seeing chi/energy/something visibly

I wasn't quite sure what to call this, or where to put this, so I'll just stick it here.

Does anyone else see beads of light floating in the middle of the air? At first I thought it was an eye problem, but I've had my eyes checked and they don't really interfere with my vision. If I had to describe it, I would call it several tiny circles of light or something floating in my vision, with a tiny spot of light in the middle. It only lasts for about a minute at a time, and it doesn't block out what I'm looking at, it more like sits on top of it.

I actually just decided to ignore it until I came across the thread about levitating large objects, which led me to this article about a guy back in the 50's who claims to have figured out the nature of gravity and magnetism, and actually used his theories to somehow literally levitate large (35-ton) rocks without using any equipment. I guess he built a castle in Florida. Interesting stuff I guess, but what really interested me is this quote from the article:

He believed all matter consisted of individual magnets, and it is the movement of these magnets within materials, and through space, that produce measurable phenomena, magnetism, and electricity. These concepts ‘involved the relationship of the Earth to celestial alignments.’ He claimed to see beads of light which he believed to be the physical presence of nature’s magnetism and life force, or what we term today, chi.”

I did some more searching about this and found some text he wrote about it:

To see I close my eyes and then I open one eye just a little to look at the blue sky. Then I can see chains of beads floating in the liquid in my eye. Some chains of beads are longer than others. Most of the chains are folded over in irregular shapes and between several beads in a chain there is a bigger bead and sometimes there is one, two or more beads hanging outside the chain, and sometimes I can see one, two or more beads floating separately. Each bead's center is light, and the outside rim dark

This is almost an exact description of what I'm seeing as well. This just started in the past year or so, about the exact same time I figured out how to use intention/manifestation and started creating huge changes in my life as well. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything, maybe I accidentally put out a weird intention to be able to levitate rocks or something :P So I guess my question is, does anyone else experience this? Or do I just share an eye condition with this guy

I see chi at times, I think. But not as beads. More like a soft distortion around the edges of my hands, mostly. Sort of like a heat wave quivering, but also kind of trails behind any movement. If I move my had, the softness shows up where my hand was more than in front of the direction I move my hand. Maybe it's more like seeing the aura, what I'm describing.

yep, me too - I've always wondered about it myself. I am curious also if everyone sees it or not.

I've always seen this, since childhood. I can always see the chains - sometimes I see or notice more, depending upon where I am.

I always assumed it was probably normal, but I have never really asked anyone - but I've always wondered what it was.

ive always seen those dots and irregular shapes. if you actually concentrate on them, you can watch as they move, speed up and disappear. ive recently started seeing auras...especially the mountains at night. they glow a soft yellow.
in my thoughts, the way i see it is everything is energy, we are just merely capsules encasing it. it allows us to be everything we are, and it is up to us to choose how to roll with it. some are aware, some are not. my awareness has been greatly heightened in the past year and im searching for people that know about it. reality is something we live up to, because for some reason, possibly the core for our being here is believing in SOMETHING, but i believe you can look past reality when its right before you and see that other place that is extremelly intriguing, yet frightening.

On saturday I got into a state where I could see my cats aura(purple) and I could see threads of white light which I interpereted as the energy of life, they were flowing into and out of my cat, coming off every hair out about 6 inches(the energy didn't really end, my ability to detect it did and it faded after about 6 inches). I could also see energy coming into me and my surrounds, exchanging with my cat and the air around me as well. I also have distortions in the liquid in my eye but this event had nothing to do with that, and I have read this is from bacteria in the eye liquid.

You are welcome. Look up "floaters" Thats what they are called. I looked into them after noticing them during a mescaline trip. Wasn't sure if they had always been there, but they never left me, so I looked it up on the internet and found they were called floaters.

I see the exact same thing in exactly the same way. Not only the floating chains of beads but also larger circular 'flower of life' patterns. I've been wondering about this phenomenon for the past couple weeks, thanks for posting this!

The beads sound like ‘floaters’. They are most commonly seen when looking into a lit area of uniform color (blue sky works well, no clouds, not into the sun). They are artifacts of the stuff moving around in your eyeball. Normally with more complex visual stimulation, they are not noticeable.

Visual overlays of metaphysical energy (chi and like) usually follows the contour of a living or energized object. It’s not unlike the shimmering above a road on a hot day. Note, some people see energy as colored as most commonly described in literature about seeing auras.

Sometimes I can faintly see various types of what I just call auras, but always attached to people or, rarely, plants and on a couple of occasions a stone or feather or ritual object.

I've never been able to see anything in the open air like that as of yet.

Good call. My girlfriend had that book on a shelf so I read it this summer. I agree that most people here would find it interesting if looking for an easy, casual read. Maybe not super-fantastically written, and it gets a bit too optimistic toward the end for me, but overall not a bad way to kill a few hours in a hammock or something.

I know this post is kinda old, but after reading this I had to comment.
I have been meditating for a while now. Recently I experienced those dots. So I focused my attention on that subject. Those dots soon evolved into lights, only appearing on my body. I can focus on my hand, and see what looks like sparks moving slowly through a wire, all pulsing through my hand and arm. I have tested it to prove to myself that it is real.

While the rest is covered in a, what I can only describe as very thick, bright film grain, of Yellow light surrounding my body.
