Default Searching for a new and different challenge..hello??

I hope I have this OP in the right section.

I really want to find someone else in here who feels like I do. I'm BORED out of my brain!! I've heard all this stuff so many times before and crave to find someone meeting my own mind and thoughts. Pleaseeeee, its driving me batty! Looking for a stimulating spiritual conversation that doesnt involve religion, re-incarnation, loa, guides, struggling relationships, vortex, numberology, 11.11, ehhhhh...need I go on?

Is there someone out there with something new and challenging?

Maybe its just me? How long can we keep talking about all this stuff before it becomes redundant?

Someone please save me!

Let's talk about all our off-Creation experiences and collate all our information so we can have some kind of basic idea what exists outside our Universe.

When frogs are bored they usually go and hit the road.

But you don't seem to have the guts to do that, so your case is pretty hopeless.

Boredom is from intelligence. You've successfully been able to provide for your body. I'm guessing you're healthy, have a way to support yourself that isn't in jepoardy, etc....

Boredom is that you don't have immediate physical concerns and that your mind is hankering for some fresh meat to chew on. So inspite of having your physical needs taken care of, you're not "happy" which in mental. You mind has a problem "I am bored, fix it". And the mind is considering a hobby or a new challenge to give it something to do.

So off the mind takes on a wild goose chase to kill the boredom. Boredom is "HURRY UP!!!! AND WAIT!!!!" The mind is in a hurry, it's so greedy to do it's job and this job is to get happy, but it can't figure out what to do and boredom is being ready to move yet not moving.

NOW is the time to move into the spirit....how? By doing what you're doing....trying to figure out what boredom is, and not by trying to get rid of it. A new iPhone can take your boredom away until you get bored with it....that's what drives the marketplace...that we are healthy and rich enough to be bored and the marketplace keeps sending us new gadgets or entertainments to distract the real meaning behind boredom...which is....boredom means that you don't understand the meaning of life. Logically, you haven't been able to put it together. You're bored thinking about it because it's been a dead end, yet something in you won't let you forget the question. So in your boredom, you start to think that live is so stupid, we just repeat the same crap everyday for what? That "for what?" question is THE question of the meaning of life, the "who am I?".

So don't look for the hobby...seek yourself instead. Make seeking your hobby....it's a hobby that will move you from logic to the heart.

Hey guys
Thanks for replying.

Midnite...if that was said in jest, there's something in it that peaks my interest. If your serious, would you mind expanding on it? Thanks

Reefs... doh! would it help if I morphed to something else? LOL

RonS...Yes and no! This is a different kind of boredom. This is more a "hanging round spiritual boards since the 90's" kind of boredom. Ive been reading and replying to the same stuff for so many years now that I'm over it. It's not an intolerance towards those on a new journey...it's more that my awareness sees no sense in the same old material that just goes round and round....and round. Can you understand that? I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

If I could use an analogy...its like talking about the bread all the time, instead of the meat. I also understand we all go through each phase, being there at one stage myself....like a sponge wanting to jump into a lake. I moved through that a long time ago and am now the lake widening its banks.

I hopped from another forum to this one hoping I would find that 'something more' here and so far I haven't. I can't explain to you what it is I'm looking for to stimulate a desire to converse on it, but I'm sure there's someone out there who sees it like I do.

You see, I dont speak of this because there seems to be a stigma attached to it. I had an experience a decade ago that has taken me beyond what is talked about in forums. Yet in saying that, anyone who is where I am would also say 'there really isn't anything to talk about after that'. Its more that the mind becomes silent in this atmosphere. This has nothing to do with my 3D life. I don't get bored in that area.

Anyway, its difficult to explain, but thank you for your valued input.

Cheers All

I think you need voices that are more profound than you're seeing on the boards. My guy is Osho....26 months of daily reading and I'm still eager for more. Never been bored with the guy. And with 600 books, I'm only about 100 into them. So I got a lot more to read and all the books are free on my laptop. Check him out...see if he's a match for you.

The boredom is still because you're so intelligent....you just need someone much more intelligent to help you grow.

ah Osho...Ive looked into some of his stuff. He's okay...a little grating...but I prefer PapaJi. Unfortunately, there is no new material as papaji moved on to different dimensions. Pleased that you've found something absorbing.

I relate to your issue Moriarty, except I've been in this less time than you. However, I feel like I've seen it all before and rarely do I get that kind of paradigm shattering of olden days. I took off a couple of months and came back, still the same stuff. I guess we've outgrown this scene for the most part. That's actually a good thing when you think about it.

If you are bored maybe you just need to go deeper in practice rather than talking about stuff you already know. Internet boards are by their very nature pretty limited and repetitive imo. I'm going to take another multi-month long break after tonight.

You might also take on a more challenging work like A Course in Miracles. Something that busts your paradigms towards non-duality. Even after all the exposure to other nondual spiritual material, I've been working with this book pretty regularly for a year now and deeper shifts happen all the time for me.

Just out of curiosity, is Osho's advice to always read more Osho or is it to look within?

So many Aussies on this page.

All of a sudden I feel like getting drunk with Russell Crowe and headbutting some kangaroos.

Thanks Taylor..I appreciate that you appreciate where I'm at.

The problem being that I went so deep into practice that I came out of it a different moriarty and dont need the flotsam and jetsam. I hang in spiritual forums because my busy life doesnt allow much time for anything deeper at this stage.

Ive studied ACIM for years and in fact, my husband (RIP) and I ran classes in it.

I went on a spiritual sojourn a decade ago and was awakened to the "I Am"..(to borrow a well-used saying). There's no going back from there and no thing new to know...only to toss around. I guess that's why I'm intrigued by quantum.

I hope you are enjoying your journey. All the best for that up-coming break.

It's neither good nor bad. What would happen if you just let all the redundant concepts fall flat and stop giving them attention? Would you be swallowed up by boredom?

You look a bit muddy

Have you found the answer yet to "who am i"? You mightn't like what you discover.

Thanks for your input. Cheers

Hi Moriarty,

My thought is that boredom is part of the process. We go through periods of stimulation and breakthroughs, then periods of stability, and then, yes, boredom. And then it starts again. Maybe if boredom is viewed more as a natural part of your journey, and knowing that things will inevitably shift again, it won't feel so blah.

I don't think we're always in control of the pace of things, though we might wish we were. I also think sometimes spiritual seeking, for some people, can feel a bit like a junkie might feel if they don't keep getting their fix. Not saying that applies to you, but I have noticed that vibe in some folks...

I've also noticed that once people hit a certain point in advanced spiritual development, there is sometimes a certain, oh how do I say, lack of drama, perhaps, for lack of a better word. A certain not-really-caring-about-much-because-everything-is-fine-already kind of feeling, from already being up and around many deep corners of the heart and knowing oneself. From having many, many profound experiences in spiritual work, from having done a lot of deep work on themselves. That is when talking about spiritual stuff is no longer very satisfying, and that is why forums really don't provide enough meat because you've already been there and no longer want to keep rehashing.

But you know, even with these folks, inevitably they did also continue to shift. They really did. There's always the more, no matter how much you may feel you already "know", if that makes sense -- there is always the more. That's the nature of the being's evolvement, I think. It's just that, well, sometimes a bit of patience is also helpful. Being ok with the boredom, just like being ok with being exhilerated, etc. "This too shall pass".

Maybe the path is asking you how are you with boredom, of feeling like there's no more newness spiritually. Maybe it is about patience. Or maybe it is challenging you to identify something new in you to focus on that will take you to the next level, be it a project, an endeavor...who knows...

Hope this doesn't sound too crazy! LOL
