You are always connected with your higher self (if you have one). What may change is your awareness of it.

Being in the now is about the local you being local (not off attending to (or trying to) things that are not actually where/when you are).

It’s entirely possible to be more in the now, in a 3D sense, without any awareness or communication with your higher self.

Being in the now clears out irrelevant stuff making what you can perceive more clear. It does not necessarily bring in things you are not in touch with or unaware of.

The idea of being in the now and a higher self are just minds way of making sense of self, but it isn't. The focus is meant to be on the "Being" as in 'who are you being right now?'. Everything else flows from there.

Depends on your personality type.

If you're an Artisan, 100%, Guardian, maybe some but helpful, Idealist, not very much, Rational only as part of past, present, and future.
