Default Advise me a book on Zen/Chan Buddhism, please

Please advise me a book on Zen/Chan Buddhism. I'm not a buddhist. I read some long articles only. But I'd like to know some more about it.
Thanks.

There are many good books on the subject. One good place to start perhaps would be "The Beginners Mind" by Shunryu Suzuki.

It's been a while since I read it so can't remember exactly what's inside but if I'm not mistaken it touches mainly on Zen and everyday life as opposed to books that take a more intellectual approach to Zen.

I prefer the Tibetan school - so any books written by his holiness the Dalai Llama are good start. Zen is not a mainstream Buddhism, albeit there is nothing wrong with it.

anything by Alan Watts is good, too.
