I have a close family member that is a family focal point, where many people, family and friends, visit and gather throughout the year. The house is in the woods, and is absolutely infested with red wasps. Every summer, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of them everywhere, in the yard, on the walls, on the porch, by the door. No one ever gets stung. We simply ignore them. Occasionally one will get close to someones face or even land on them (usually when the person hasn't moved in a few minutes) but we just gently shoo or brush it away, and that's it. Well, I shouldn't say no one ever gets stung. There is one friend who has and does. If a wasp gets within two feet of him, he starts batting at it like king kong at a biplane. They get him all the time. I wonder if maybe a lot of life's problems aren't like that... Last edited by bodi; 10-30-2011 at 01:03 AM. |
