The Pavlina forums are great for being a safe, open place to discuss personal growth. In the course of my participation here, I've learned that quite a few people who log-on here have been attuned to Reiki.

The mentions from people have been scattered through very many threads. So now I'm posting to ask who you are? Please say hello, fellow Reiki-ists.

I've been teaching Reiki since the year 2000. I started in Johannesburg, South Africa, and since 2001 I've been teaching in the Czech Republic. About 4 years ago I initiated my girlfriend Lenka and we work together.

I was attuned to all three levels of Reiki, in fact by Merrick up there.

But I no longer specifically use Reiki. I've been working with Jesus since February to develop a system of healing, or really to discover the principles of healing, which is what I use now.

There is no one that actually requires healing.

So I don't know if I count or not.

We have also been working with Jesus a lot during our healing sessions. But Reiki remains a precious tool.

I am level two and my master is doing the old japanese reiki school and wont initiate me to level three (inner master) until I am ready to dedicate my life to Reiki, and a couple years of experience with level 2 with clients. To become a Reiki teacher (level 4) I have to be a master for at least a year. Becoming a Reiki teacher, originally, was not an easy path. It is about dedicating your life to Reiki.

In my experience it is too easy to become a master today and some do it for the wrong reasons. Some want the credit of being a master, others see it as a business opportunity. Personally, I love what Reiki has done to my life, but as a healing modality, I want to develop way beyond Reiki symbols. It is great as a self transformation tool, but I do not want to dedicate my life to Reiki, therefore I stick with level two and refer to myself as a "Reik practitioner" and I am proud of it. I think people care too much about titles and the "master" title does not necessary mean you really master the energy. It means you have taken a master attunement.

I have met so many people saying they are Reiki Masters, but do not use Reiki anymore, and I ask them WHY did you become a master? Where you really that dedicated to Reiki? They say NO, they just wanted all three levels to feel "complete" and so on. I don't see the point :/ There are so many poor Reiki masters out there (I am not saying anyone of you are) and Reiki is really really misunderstood by the western culture. It is rare to meet a Reiki teacher doing it the Japanese way, I am so glad I did. I am excited about being a great Reiki practitioner instead of a poor Reiki master.

At this point, I'm simply hoping that people who are involved with Reiki will post and say hello... sort of an "I'm here".
