How do you approach and interact with ' what one resists in another one also resists in oneself?' For example the level that I reject you because of your dishonesty is a reflection of the level I reject my own dishonesty.

I'm being serious. Forget for a moment who I am and just listen.

What does it matter to you about levels of dishonesty? How does that affect your life? What's with the mirror business?

Personally, I've come to accept humans just as they are.

And the biggest acceptance....? Myself.

And the even bigger thingymajig..... So what?

I might be barking up strangely stinted trees. If so, tell me to bog off.

I don't know whether in the way of the world if this little question matters one iota. It just presented itself to me and to be honest I haven't even looked into myself to where it is coming from. I was simply drawn to post it for God knows whatever reason....

I guess its more a reflection on the temporary nature of life. Is it even important to seek the answer or just follow the inquiry and see where it takes you. Who knows? Not me at this point..

Mirrors aren't always that straight forward, but generally, whatever you are in denial about in yourself requires a certain amount of focus in order to maintain that denial, and this focus (for example, on not noticing your own dishonesty) has you noticing dishonesty in others, which may or may not actually be there.

How to 'approach it', of course, is to investigate a bit to see if it's in you before you decide for sure that it is in the other. (The whole 'remove the log from your own eye' deally.) Without judgment, of course.
