A habit is a habitual learning mechanism of the cerebellum. As you mention on your website, riding a bicycle is a habit. It isn't the habit that dominates consciousness as much as it is waking sleep. Once a habit like knowing how to walk or ride bicycle without having to think about it developed you can think about something else while doing the habitual act. That is known as "waking sleep." For example, when you are walking but thinking of something in the future, rather than being consciously in the moment, you become unaware and out of the moment. Waking sleep is only one part of consciousness. Absorption, Attention, Awareness, and Pure awareaness are other stages of consciousness. If you can learn to recognize awareness you can learn to become aware and even purely aware. Pureawareness.info. Pure Awareness |
