Default Ken Wilber - Centaur, etc.

I read a book by Wilber a few years ago on consciousness and it had some really intriguing insights into consciousness. It talked about how the mind "bends back on itself" or something like that . I found it quite difficult to comprehend but something in it just resonated of deep insight.

I'm just wondering of others have opinions or recommendations on books/authors that may be more "accessible" to probe into the topic of the nature of consciousness, how it works, etc.

Spiral Dynamics Integral (SDi)

I really like Wilber. He bases a lot of his ideas on SD. Its well worth looking into.

Also highly recommended - Robert Pirzig - Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz is up near the top of the list, too.

I love Wilber. He's given me such a well..... integral.... model for personal and spiritual development.

Which book did you read? If you've not read it, I'd recommend 'No Boundary' by Wilber for this sort of thing. Lots of pointing out instructions ect in there. You will feel a few tempory moments of enlightenment reading that and I'm sure LOTS of insight....

Integral Spirituality is next on my list. I get so excited about this stuff lol!

Look in this section for my thread "bipolar or waking up"...the author uses much of Wilbur's spiral dynamics in his presentation...really good!
