The article starts out saying:" Because reincarnation was such a universally accepted idea, no direct reference was made to it in the New Testament. But there are several indirect references:" and then offers obscure quotes that don't seem to address reincarnation, followed by the insistence that they are clear references to reincarnation.

BTW, if it's universally accepted, why would this be a reason to NOT reference it? And the claim that reincarnation is not a Christian doctrine does not somehow imply that it must be a Christian belief. Hehe.

Besides 'Born again Christians' are not literally born again, so was the term misunderstood or did it really mean Awakened to spirit?

In the year 329 a.d. at the council of Nicia when they were compileing the books that we now call the Bible Constine found out that in a past life he had been a whore . He did not want this to be come known and had all reference to reincarnation taken out. Also the Bible has been translated many times , a monk sitting in a dark cave that does not believe in reincarnation may not include that part into his new translation. In the king James Bible written the 1600 s born again might mean the same as it does today. The American general Patton , when serving in North Africa, in ww2 , said he could find his way around , saying he was there before in a life as a Roman solder . When asked Buddah said we might reincarnate , but live your life now , dont worry about it . There is a lot of info on the net . reincarnation is older than the net , Christ , Buddah , and humanity . I'm not a Buddhist, but it seems to me the popular practice may appear to be about how to live your life, but Buddha taught Truth realization which has nothing to do with how a person is to live his life. The person is revealed as the illusion, and is not living his life at all.
