Lightbulb A profoundly simple meditation for you to try

Hi there,

I'm a new poster to these forums, and I've just started to meditate daily again after a long hiatus.

Anyway, today while I was meditating, I suddenly came up with a new, simple meditation sequence, and when I started it, it was one of the most simplistically profound experiences ever. You guys can try it and let me know what you think. This may be something.

The Perfect Meditation: This is for Me, This is for You

That's intriguing. Although I haven't meditated before, I'll try doing basic focused in-and-out breathing with that exercise. I like the idea of inhalation and exhalation as giving and receiving from the world.

How do you mentally fit introspection into the moments you are breathing in?

I've heard of a Tibetan Buddhist technique where you breath in the sufferig of the world and breath out peace (or something) that is quite similar.

I just tried it while I was reading this post and the link - it is very nice and calming. I'm at work, so I'll have to give it a go when I get home.
