Analysis Paralysis is on a distinguished road
Default Recently attended the Landmark Forum...whats next

Hi I'm new on this forum!

I am somewhat new to self development, a few years ago I discovered this industry by clicking an ad with a picture of two women, one was an old woman and one was a model type in her early 20s, there was text above saying something along the lines of "which one is right for you". I clicked on the ad and was exposed to a site called doubleyourdating.com.

I've read everything related to the site and somehow it led me to find out about the self development industry, found out about Tony Robbins and after googling working from home I found Steve's website 2 years ago.

Recently I attended the Landmark Forum, which I found through a recommendation by some self help guru I used to read about, it was interesting, basically they taught a new perspective on things and a different communication style. They teach to look at life as a blank canvas that you paint on and what happened in the past has nothing to do with what you can create in the future, a similar perspective is given when talking about people and requires A LOT of balls to execute which is part of an assignment given to everyone.

Right now I am part of a weekly program in which I am supposed to keep in touch with a team I am a part of (I am the leader) and keep in contact with them, also we are supposed to identify something that we want to achieve and something thats holding us back after that write those down.

I was supposed to also identify 3 things I want to get out of the forum, mine are:
  1. A Relationship
  2. A Career
  3. A growing Asset Column (originally a business but this makes more sense to me)

The last one was inspired by Rich Dad Poor Dad which I've re-read lately.

I should do the assignments which I have not yet, one involves telling 3 people about something I intend to do and "leave at least one of them inspired", I am a bit scatterbrained and don't know what to say.

I am also reading some of the stuff on Steve's blog at the moment which I don't know if I should because of the forum, his stuff is very highly conceptual and while I like reading it I don't know how to apply it.
Like this thing: Waking Up

I am finding it easier to relate to this stuff: RossTraining.com Blog
Though its not self development related in the way Steve writes about, its actually fitness related even though it can be re-purposed in a non fitness way.

2 questions:
What would you suggest I say in the assignment?
Should I read the other stuff?

Thank You!
-Oleg
