| I definitely believe in the concept of Reincarnation and that we've taken quite a journey before this lifetime that we exist in right now.. However, being that in our human lifeform, we tend to learn best from our mistakes.. I think it would be quite interesting and provide great insight to us if we were able to easily tap into the experiences we've had in previous lives... Perhaps we would realize the grave dangers that were caused by an addiction in our prior lifetime.. which would make us think twice in this lifetime to pursue the same addiction.. Or perhaps we'd stop being so paranoid about death being the end of the road, if we realized that we've been through this many times before.. Though I can see how it can also be a negative thing if say in our previous lives we did horrible things to many people.. could we live with that on our conscience? Or are we better off not knowing? What is your take on past lives?? and would you want to know all the things you've done in your previous births? Can anyone actually remember or get flashbacks of certain events that took place in a previous lifetime?? If so, is there any methodology you follow? I think this is quite an intriguing topic.. your inputs would definitely be appreciated...

If you are interested in well documented cases of reincarnation I can recommend this article: Carter Phipps: Death, Rebirth, <br>and Everything in Between - I didn't really take the issue that seriously until i read that. Rasmus

I'm interested to hear about who has made connections to past lives from their dream recall. What kinds of information did you learn? I learn a lot from dreams in general but to this point, I have tended to focus on their connections to present day rather than past lives.

When my youngest daughter was a toddler, she repeatedly woke up in the night screaming about a lion in her room. She'd end up in bed with us and there was no consoling her. She'd sob herself to sleep. Then I noticed when she was playing sometimes, she'd sing an African song and do the body movements with it. It was always the same song, sung in African words. When she was three, she was sitting on the end of the bath singing away while I had a shower. I said quietly, 'That's a lovely song babe, where did you learn that?' She shuddered and said quietly, 'The lion ate the baby.' I gently asked some more questions and she described a hut she lived in and how the lion had snatched the baby from the doorway and her mother ran after it and didn't come back. It was a bit scary as parent hearing your child say that. She had tears streaming down her face and it was very real to her. After she told me, she never had the 'lion in her room' thing again and never sung the song again. I believe it was past life recall and in telling it she had released it. Lallymac

Thanks Lallymac. I liked the story you shared. I've known people who use dreams to work through reasons for their present day anxiety and other issues. Where people confront sources of fear in their dreams, they can train themselves to awaken with the ability to better manage emotions during their real lives. Where dream scenarios involve strangers, people to whom I speak make connections to possible flashbacks or reincarnation. No matter what our age, I think dreams are especially useful when they enable us to explore new meaning in our emotions and to better understand ourselves.
