Heaven on earth?

I was thinking about heaven and hell, i'm raised by catholics so i believe that both of them exists. And i believe they exist here, on earth. Your life can be heaven or hell. I agree with that completely.
Also, Bible says that St. Peter is the gatekeeper of heaven. If heaven is here, where's Peter? Is he in me? Maybe i should find Peter inside of me so i can enter heaven?

I know that Jesus was walking and taking apostoles with him. They were just usual people and he made them great. He saw their virtues and showed them how to use it. All of us are apostoles with bad things inside and with virtues also. Main thing is to discover that and then follow what Jesus was saying.

Does this make any sense? Is that what Christianity is teaching us?

I enjoy studying the Bible, I just don't take a literal or "Christian" viewpoint on many issues.

I second a lot of what you're saying. I think life is very different living in hell (you think everyone's an enemy) vs. living in heaven (where everyone is inherently good).

& according to others (Hawkins...gosh..every teacher really Jesus..) there is a heaven/hell afterwards. NDE's confirm this also even where some get to visit the various realms from hell to the different heavens.

I don't know about St. Peter being inside of us but yes I am trying to understand Jesus' teachings too now & the path to heaven is inside of us according to all of the teachers before. & I agree that we are all capable of being apostles & learning this because they were human & they learned it too.

Yup... Jesus said, "Heaven is within you."

And you're right, heaven/hell do exist here on earth. It's directly correlated to LOC (levels of consciousness). I can confirm with my own personal experience, having been through many years at a low LOC in childhood.

After physical death, the spirit naturally gravitates to where its LOC takes it, i.e. where the spirit feels "at home" with. High LOC people who experienced heaven on earth, will naturally go to heaven in the spiritual realms, and likewise for low LOC people.

Heaven/hell are just descriptions of subjective experience at particular LOCs. Which is why raising consciousness is the primary goal of this physical human existence, for ourselves and for others We can't save other people's souls, but by saving our own souls we naturally raise mankind's LOC and help them as much as we can.
