The moment you believe in God, in a thing outside of yourself that is not you, call it the universe, God, Whatever, you are completely screwed. Are you having a nice life? Thank God. Things are crap? God intended it that way for you to grow. What a bunch of whiney victim crap. The ultimate puppet master is anything outside of your true self. God, Universe, collective consciousness, etc. You will never have a life until you accept complete responsibility for everything. God is the ultimate get out of jail free card. You're right. We have to take complete responsibility for ourselves, our actions and our lives. We have free will. But what does that have to do with God? You must admit there are things we have absolutely no control over. Things beyond our comprehension and ability to grasp. Things we didn't create or have any role in creating.

One thing I am struggling with is trying to comprhend the co-existance of destiny and free-will. Its a tricky one. I don't think God has direct control...but I thinkif there was a universal force it would just let us get on wih it
