Default Interesting video of a monk

YouTube - The Monk and the Moon

The quotes are from Lao Tzu and the video is from a documentary.

I would like to know what the guy is actually saying, but look at his eyes and face.

I don't know the first thing about Enlightenment, but if I had to guess, I would say that this guy got it close.

Look at the muscles in his face. Those are from smiling, from constantly experiencing joy, and maybe it's just me but there's something in his eyes too. If this guy hasn't reached enlightenment, then my idea of it is completely off.

i have tasted it before, he is describing aspects of enlightenment, he got it close, yes.

I actually wouldn't expect people who hadn't had a taste to understand some of what he's saying

Anyone see Into Great Silence. There's a lot of lovely souls in that movie as well. It's also an even slower paced film than Amongst White Clouds.

Makes perfect sense - the last thing an enlightened person would do is even remotely aggrandize himself, or tempt others to do so, right?

I think we may have miscommunicated. I'm saying that the words are from Lao Tzu on the video, but the man is actually saying something else (I think).

I would like to know what he's actually saying on there.

Unless you were speaking in generalities and not talking about me. If that's the case, ignore everything I said.
