I know it's very alluring. But I have been going through different theories and religions, and the only find one that really makes sense. If matter existed first, and consciousness arose from matter, then we would die along with our bodies.A lot religions say that God made everything, and once we die our bodies die and our souls go on. But that would ONLY work IF conscousness existed FIRST. So, I'm starting to think that we are infact dreaming. Our ego bodies are our dream avatars, and once we awaken we will return to the dreamer aka consciousness.

I think it makes more sense to say that we are in a shared dream. When we go to sleep at night we experience an individual dream, inwhich we are the only will and the only one in existence. A night-time dream is a metaphor for what reality is. Consciousness is the dreamer, the only thing that is real in dreams is cosciousness, everything else is an illusion.

I have thought about this, of course I have :P This meshes nicely with my unplanned spiritual day yesterday which consisted of reading a Zen book by Osho, watching the movie Waking Life(WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T, GOES WELL WITH THIS THREAD), and watched Southpark(don't ask it just worked). What will we awaken to? Oneness of course. Infinite Love.

But how could we actually know if that is true? There are sooo many different religions, how could be say one is more true than another? To me there are so many different faiths, and so little proof of any of them...It's like playing the lottery...you pick one faith and hope it's the right one.
