Peaceful coexistence between scientists and theologians

I would very much like to know what people on this website think about peaceful coexistence between those who study our material world (scientists) and those who study our spiritual world (theologians). My attempt to write an essay on that subject failed, as you can see at:

The webpage was prepared to generate a discussion. Those who post comments should refer to specific “contributions,” as numbered (or to specific persons, as numbered at the beginning). This will simplify the discussion.

And let us keep in mind that the main topic is peaceful coexistence. Is it possible? Is it desirable? What should we do promote it? etc.

I see it as peaceful, desirable, and it seems to me to be happening more and more. I think at one point they were perceived as negating each other but I don't think that's necessarily the case. One can believe in God, an act of faith, but simultaneously also believe in the scientific method.

Being a scientist (genetics and biochemistry) and professor myself, I would point out to my esteemed colleague that the equation, I = God, resolves the conflict between science and spirituality.

I, the scientist and atheist, refuse to accept that I am the Responsible One.

I, the spiritual seeker and theologian, am afraid of the consequences of being the Responsible One.

It's a quite simple solution to a protracted problem: just get Me to see I to I. That is, that the I that the scientist uses is the same I that the theologian uses.

The borders are definitely breaking down and this change is coming from both sides. I read a physics book recently in which the authors argued that only with the help of spirituality can we bring the interpretation of our physical laws to a new level.

For the scientists in this community I would like to suggest this experiment: find a highly spiritually developed person and induce him to mentally change his own DNA - afterwards check in his (already born) child whether the same DNA change has taken place. For me this experiment is the integration of Darwin vs Genesis.
