I've been going at this for about half a year. I know its more than all in my head because when I first tried to do it, I got crazy vibrations, and then looked it up and it was supposedly the "launch" state before projection. The only way I know how to do it is go into a dream, become lucid, and then "launch" out, by either imaging yourself floating or what not. All I ever get are vibrations, and when I REALLY want to "get out" and try to force myself out, all that happens is I'm just in a lucid dream. I look around my room and everything is out of whack and my movement is incredibly inhibited. And if I wanted to I could create whatever I wanted, but its simply a lucid dream. I guess lucid dreaming IS "astral travel"? Today I had a full nights sleep, lied down and followed a dream-like strange thought, and the thought became very expanded and then I was like "wow I guess I'm dreaming" even though I could partly still feel my legs. I then began to "launch" out, the vibrations started again, and then the random sounds came, and I tried to open my "eyes" and I saw another pair of eyes looking at me which scared me enough to open my real eyes. Is this related to sleep paralysis? People say sleep paralysis is when your astral body and normal body is out of sync, but, again, this is just exploration of your astral realm, something you do in lucid dreams. On a side note, I think this is what happens to schizophrenics, the line between the astral and real becomes blurred? Because when I was in the astral realm I was clearly hearing things and seeing things. |

Lucid dreams are amazing, I'm trying to get them more frequently, I got a big book about it I should read more often. I havn't really looked into astral projection tbh, it is something that sounds interesting though, I was sitting at the beach yesterday just staring at the twilight and felt so disconnected from myself I nearly left my body! So pulled myself back in, it was a funny experience I should have stayed disconnected from myself I wonder what would have happened!?! |

But anyway, if you don't have a super discriminatory mind, a good thing to lucid dream more often is to stare at your hands at random times of the day and ask yourself "am I dreaming!? am I dreaming!?", and eventually you will start doing it in your dreams too. When lucid try not to think too much, mostly enjoy your creations and buy into their reality by suspending your belief. The more conscious you become the more fragile the dream.

It's hard to be aware that you're lucid and not be concious about it lol! But maybe I'll try becomming lucid, then purposely let the randomness (my subconcious) continue by just accepting whatever is in front of me, then I can secretly be lucid without being too aware and waking up lol.
