| I am eternally grateful for these forums and their members which have given me so much food for thought. All religions contain spiritual truths and I know it's old hat to believe in anything remotely connected with orthodox religion in this modern age of self awareness, intention and manifestion, etc., but here's something I would like to share with you. There is a God - the supreme source of spirit, pure light and pure love. I used to ponder on the biblical saying "God cannot countenance Evil" and I thought - what a load of old tosh. I can create what I want, I can BE God - big mistake. Why are we here? To reflect back God's love to him through our creations. Motive is very important. If we create something out of love for God and fellow man, it is acceptable to God and benefits ourselves and others in ways we cannot comprehend. If we create something that we try to hide from God which originates from ego, pride or self advancement, self indulgence, etc., it is illusion and thus not accepted by God. In fact, he is not even aware of it . It just automatically rebounds off the light. If your creation is not born of love, it will bounce back to you and hit you smack in the face. How can there be darkness or illusion within that infinite source of light? This is what Karma is all about. So, what is your reaction to it. Do you realize your mistake and try to create something out of love, or do you have an ego tantrum and throw all your toys out of the playpen, or do something a bit more nasty? Cain was jealous of his brother Abel who offered a good sacrifice (a return of love through his creation). Cain offered burnt vegetables which bounced back onto him. So, what did he do - he killed Abel. Think of a child doing a simplistic drawing out of love for its parent. It is accepted. Think of a child with a hidden motive to impress who does a magnificent oil painting - well you know the rest. That is what we are all trying to deal with. |
