Where is the center of the universe?

It's the same place where all the power is, all the joy, love and most importantly the awareness and the truth.

It's you baby right now!

You exist right now, right here and no where else. That's why no future, past or other person is as important as you. 6 billion other humans on the planet, but there is only one you. That is so defining, so powerful and pretty darn scary sometimes too

Do you love someone? When that person is in your present moment awareness, the connection is so strong right? The love is amazing right? That's because they are with you at the center of the universe, the center of all things, your present moment awareness (PMA) actually defines how special every moment is, because it's the center of everything.

When that loved one is not with you, you still love them, but not like when they are with you, because you get to share your PMA, the center of the universe with them.

Even if you're alone in a forrest, that's the center of the universe. In a huge crowd at the football game, surrounded by 50,000 humans, the center of the universe is right there in you, no one else, no where else.

PMA is the most important thing there is, how you think in the moment, how you feel in the moment, affects the moment. Everything revolves around your PMA and is created by your beliefs that exist in the PMA.

Over the years I've spent a lot of time regreting the past, fearing the future and neglecting my PMA and not accepting that I'm the center of the universe.That may sound selfish, because it is, but not in an ego way, but in a truth way, in an acceptance of true self way.

Nothing is more important than you, you are all that matters, but you only ever exist in your present moment awareness, so put all your love and desires there and they will grow there.

That's all you can do and all you have to do. Nothing else matters.

Ok, well you said that I am the center of the universe. Where does that put you? Wouldn't that make you the center of the universe and not me?

Everybody is the center of the universe, because the universe is infinite, so its centers are infinite as well. No matter where you go, you are still at the center of the universe -- so that means everywhere is the center, or rather there are an infinite number of centers. So both of you are right

Time and space is an illusion. The entire universe is projected from consciousness. We are all centers of consciousness. Each of us experience the entire universe as a projection from our consciousness. We experience each other as being apart from each other within consciousness, but we are all really one, here and now.

I already know and have experienced all of that. My question is what good does it do you to know this. It has brought me more headache then anything.

Oh there is a lot of good in knowing that. You'll be able to be aware that the people that show up in your life do not show up by chance. You no longer treat interactions lightly because you know that what you relate with someone else, you are actually relating to yourself.

Any person that enters into your sphere of experience is because you attracted that person in, and that person has attracted you into theirs. You never have to feel as if you don't deserve to be in anybody's presence because if they are there with you, it means you have every right to be there. It is co-intention that results in both of you entering into each other's sphere of experience in the first place.

I am another you, and you are another me. We are all one mind and one body. The idividual cell must be taken cared of and all other cells must be taken cared of in order for each other to experience the highest well being.

I dissagree with that. What you are basically saying is that humans are at the center of the universe. You say: You are at the center of the universe"..well if that were true every human would be at the center of the universe. People live all over the universe, so the center of the universe would be all accross the world. There can only be one center of the universe.

For those of you thinking in literal terms, ignore the title. Jeff isn't talking about the centre of the universe in spacial terms. And you can also ignore the slightly metaphysical tone of his words. He's talking about the most important person in your life. You. And the most important time. Now.

Disagree all you want SS, the universe is infinite is it not? Infinity has infinite centers. Sometimes I wonder about the people on this forum. These concepts are NOT that hard to understand. I guess I have seen many things that others have not yet had access to. I must accept this. I must be greatful that I can grasp all these concepts so easily. I am sorry it is more difficult for many of you.

It's difficult because people confuse and distort their messages by saying things that either mislead, or worse, have no real content at all. Filtering through that takes effort and practice. Some people haven't yet had the required practice or put in the required effort.

It's the same all over the world, not just on this forum. And it will be the same on any forum that comes along, online or offline, as long as there are those who don't think enough before speaking/writing, and those who speak/write in an unclear or misleading way. (that's just a general comment btw, I don't think Jeff's post was misleading)

Also, no-one is perfect, so when misunderstandings happen, if we truly desire to help each other we'll do our best to help other people understand what we're trying to say, do our best to understand them.

However, SS does have a point, though I'm not sure (s)he is aware of it. While I am most important person in the universe from my point of view, that doesn't mean I should ignore everyone else. From an objective reality point of view, even though the universe is infinite, my universe is finite; its boundaries are defined by the limits of my perception. Thus, my universe has a centre, me, the source of my perception. We have to be aware that everyone else is the centre of their universe, and act accordingly even as we act in our own interests.

From a subjective reality point of view, since All-is-One you are the most important being in the universe, and by caring for yourself, you care for others. However, by harming others, you harm yourself.

Problems arise when our own interests are detrimental to others. When we do things that help ourselves, but hurt other people. So, seen from an objective reality point of view, Jeff's statement that nothing else matters is incorrect.
