The Silva Method

I'm surprised I have not read any posts on this site about the The Silva Method written by Jose Silva. It is related to the Laws of Attraction and the philosophy of Think and Grow Rich.

Basically you make things happen in life, heal self and others, and create wealth by meditating. Napoleon Hill stated that thought is energy. You create in life what you thoughts are mostly focusing on.

By meditating you are almost in a sleep mode. Your brain is functioning from alpha waves. When we are fully awake we are thinking with beta. According to the author, alpha waves have more of a deep impact and relationship with the outside world and things around us. If we want to heal someone's injury we focus in the "workshop" of our mind to heal while mediating. We do this by counting backwards from 100 to 1. We get in a deep alpha state and create things in our lives what we want.

I'll say that it has been awhile since doing this, but when I did I literally was able to heal my wife's aches and pains sitting in my office miles away. The author claims to have performed this practice in an isolated research setting on several different occasions proving that it works. It is documented in his books.

One of his books claims that this is what Napoleon Hill with Think and Grow Rich was taping into. Hill just didn't have it as a complete science as Silva.

Take it with a grain of salt and give it a try. It may not be for everybody, but it has worked for me.

Going into Alpha is very important to be able to accomplish intention manifestation.

One thing I did was use a post-hypnotic suggestion to be able to drop into Alpha instantly... run my manifestation or do a reading, etc, and bang - back out.

It's really improved my life... especially in this city with some of the worst drivers around, I sail through traffic with ease now.

I did Silva Mind 15 yrs ago. Was a mind blow for me at the time. Blew my abilities wide open. I could never do the scan the body of a person at the end. I'd always find myself standing in their body. looking out of their eyes and could describe the room they were in, what they were feeling/thinking. I could scan their bodies from the inside out. Went back several times cause I thought I was doing it wrong. Took me awhile to realise I was remote sentient/viewing.
Am in the process of writing a experiential workshop linking Silva with IM.

I've been studying and applying Christian principles for the past couple of years. The one thing I have realized is that the Kingdom of God has set principles in place. A person may not be a Christian per say, but if they apply God's principles they will still be rewarded. Examples of this is tithing, treating others like you would want to be treated, giving, etc.

The Silva Method or applying the Law of Attraction is equivalent to praying. The Silva Method attempts to make it into a science.

The skeptic's dictionary even gave it a begrudging 'a lot of it is junk, but some of it seems to work' ...quite a statement from them. :

I have not taken any of the courses so I can't be the judge, however my guess would be for you to buy the $5 book like I did and start applying it. It is pretty much common sense if you ask me. Be aware though, the book is poorly written in many ways, but you will get the idea. Don't let the book's lack of grammar deter you from taking heed of it.

I paid $600.00 15 yrs ago and found it transformational. I went on and did a graduate course, then a 'Miracle of Metaphysics' workshop with Robert Stone (author of 'You the Healer') where I met my youngest daughter's father. He had been medically retired from the fire service for 7 yrs suffering from chemical contamination (paraquat, 245T etc) after a call out to a chemical plant that caught on fire. At the time I met him he suffered from short term memory loss, dizziness, and rashes that would periodically flare up into large seeping wounds down his arms and legs. The medical profession scratched their heads and bandaged him up each time. The rashes would have him hospitalized for two to three weeks. Using The Silva Meditation techniques and Bob Stone's visualization he healed his last rash himself in three days, 15 yrs ago. I watched it disappear and had seen the photos of the previous rashes. His memory improved and he returned to work.
I have done a few courses since then but nothing else has impacted in the same way.

Lallymac, without a doubt you are right. I believe what you said about this. It has been over a year since trying the Silva Method. I'm pretty sure I've started to get carpal tundral syndrome in my right hand. It had been aching for the last few weeks, hand would fall asleep while sleeping, and fingers were very weak. I didn't get it diagnosed, but those were the symptoms. I was actually about to go to sleep one evening (sure alpha waves were firing) when I envisioned myself injecting healing ointment down through my arm to my fingers. I envisioned the ointment completely healing my hand. Well, literally the last few days the pain has gone away and I have full strength in my fingers. The Silva Method seems to work best on self, however you can use it to heal others. You can use it to attract potential customers and many other things. Over a year ago I envisioned that Australian construction worker who was captured by terrorist in Iraq, being rescued by American forces. I kept his picture on my desk. A month later, I started to think about him and wondered if I helped any. I picked up my newspaper and on the 12 page it stated that he was rescued. I was floored. I know there is no scientific proof for this, but it made me think.

Well I was deciding between spending my money on PATHS or SILVA. I am gonna go with SILVA. I have heard about them and I think its worth the shot. Thats what my intution tells me too.

I saw your post about the SILVA method and jus wanted to re-affirm it's power. I am a recent graduate and it has certainly done wonders for me. Not only academically but also emotionally and physically. I know the current (and only) Instructor for the SILVA method and she has made an incredible difference to all the people who have come to her for help in Auckland.
The 3 day workshop is not just a motivationla programme instilling confidence and developing self esteem - it allows you to acess parts of the mind that you weren't even aware of. And like Amadeus pointed out it enables you to perform healing to a degree that would take your breath away. I know cancer patients who have recovered thanks to the healing sent to them by SILVA graduates and the best part is - the explanations aren't hocus pocus but real solid facts and I encourage anyone who desires to improve their life and get "Better and Better" to visit The Silva Method - New Zealand

Like Amadeus said it may not be for everyone but everyone can benefit in in some way irrespective of what problem you're facing.

I am a Silva graduate too.

I don't use it exclusively, but also do other stuff like self-hypnosis, LOA, creative visualisation and recently, magick.

Actually it's all the same thing, presented in different ways. And yes, it all works.

The healing stuff in Silva is actually very reiki-like. And the 3 2 1 method is regularly used in hypnosis. And the "counselor" idea in Silva is described in "Think and Grow Rich" as well. The concept of having a "mental lab" has many equivalents in meditation and even magick (in magick, the person would "cast a circle" instead of "enter his lab"). As for the Day 2 out-of-body techniques in Silva, these are known as "remote viewing" in the psychc community.

I am a European writing from a remote and isolated corner of South America...

I found an e-book on the Silva Method translated into Spanish, but it did not give a great deal of information about some exercises...I was looking for some more information, and came across this site...

It´s been very refreshing to find you!

I would be most grateful if anyone could tell me how do you proceed to do the following:

the 3 finger technique
mirror of the mind
Hand levitation
water glass technique
glove anesthetic

ESP applied to subjective communication

These are the exercises that are lacking in the book I've got. I know the conferences are around in the web in audio format, but I live in a very small town with an ultra slow internet line... It´s truly a pain to try and download them! I have just given up trying!

Or maybe anyone can tell me where i can find links explaining these exercises...
