Post The Big Blue

Has anyone else watched the movie "The Big Blue"? I just finished and am quite stunned by the beauty, depth and peace that was portrayed. I would like to discuss the symbolism and meaning if there is anyone else out there that loved it like I did.

I've seen it a while back. I remember it being a really good film. I didnt really understand the sybolism at the time though (I see so many films in a new light though after getting into philosophy and spirituality).

I heard somehwere that it calibrated (david hawkins thing) really highly or something and that people felt a massive sense of peace after wtahcing it. I can't remember where I heard that though.

Yes, it rates 700 on the Hawkins scale which puts it in the realm of Enlightenment. I am currently reading a lot of his material which is where I heard about the movie. The Big Blue can be viewed from two very different paradigms, where it is either about deep water diving or transcending the levels of consciousness. Your own level of consciousness will determine which story you experience. Some of the themes I saw were:

death by ego vs. death of ego
being in this world but not of it
releasing attachments
the sea symbolizing consciousness
the dolphins symbolizing angels

If there is anyone out there that likes Hawkins work and has not already seen this movie then you should definitely watch it. There are a number of different versions, I watched the Directors Cut in English which was about 2 hours 45 minutes long. I would love to chat about it in more detail.

Astonishing movie.

What do you think happens at the end? Does he go back to the surface for his girl or "die" with the dolphins?

Sunny could you explain these all little more, I'm not sure I grasp it.

death by ego vs. death of ego
being in this world but not of it
