Out of fear or love?

Now to me this sounds remarkably familiar to the God and Jesus text messages I used to get a few years ago. The ones that say pass it on if you love God. Most of the time I did, not because it proved my love, made me love him more, but because I feared what others would think if I didn't and somehow they would know.

Now I do understand that Jesus is a pretty dang popular guy, but is fear really what who ever made these websites or originally created these texts wants, and am I the only one who forwards them not out of unconditional love (Which I believe has NOTHING to do with the continuous texts and messages) but fear?

Now dont question my faith, I do have faith in God/Source/ Spirit/ (insert religious icon here) but do not have a religion. I live my life by my morals. And although I do believe this forum is made up of smart openminded people I feel obligated to state that this was created for opinions of why this is, have you done this, can you relate. Not a "You're going to HELL" thread.

Does it matter? Just under 3 million people liking Jesus on Facebook (or wherever that was) is really small potatoes compared to the actual number of people that do Jesus.
