After reading Steve's posts and listening to Joe Vitali's lectures I got extremely curious about SR in general and this method in particular. So I decided to try it out. Also thought it would be nice to record the experiences. Instead of recording day-by-day I will do updates, as experiences may not come along regularly. Update1 : When I first heard about the method of saying "I am sorry, I love you" I was curious and unbelieving at the same time. The fact that people like my whining sister is my responsibility took some time to sink in. Still I decided to give it a try. The first thing I did before going to bed that night was make a mental list of people who have wronged me in the past and say "I am sorry, I love you." For some people it was very easy but or some especially from my childhood it was very difficult. Still I managed it. After completing the task I felt peaceful as I have never felt before. I was still not sleepy so I listened to some music and even the music felt as though I was listening to it for the first time. Then I slept very well. |

Update two. My left brain cannot really grasp SR so I have decided to leave it as it is. I have also learnt that I can say "I am sorry, I love you" to anything and everything, even to inanimate objects. As I keep doing it, I feel something changing inside me. Normally I do not cry very easily but sometimes I feel like crying. I also feel that the way I relate to people is changing. What exactly is the nature of this change I am not sure but I have become more loving towards everyone. (Here my left brain says that my wiring is having an overload of positive emotions like love. Maybe it's true. I don't know.) |

Anyway, my point is, when I woke up today I felt so good, I felt so HEALED. All the pain I had regarding him had just gone away and I was only grateful to have known him. And I was wondering why I only told him that I was sorry and that I love him when I could have had a much longer conversation about so many things. And then I stumbled into your post And not before I saw hoponopono/SR mentioned twice in other places. I remember cause it has an unusual sound to it. I'm gonna buy the book, thanks for writing about it

I started doing this too. The first thing that happened was my mother calling and crying and apologizing for not being the perfect mother. I feel so much at peace with her now. I see again the usefulness of journaling about what we do. If you had not mentioned this, I wouldn't have thought about this. Thanks! |

And interesting cacheborn, I tend to talk to inanimate objects as well, I don't want to hurt their feelings.

@lookcloser : That's an amazing story. I am glad you found a way of healing. At the moment I have no clue as to what is going on but I am curious about it. Thanks for sharing your experience. @AG : That's great. I am happy that things are well not between you and your mother. I am wishing you the best in your pursuit. @Jon : I am not in the habit of talking to inanimate objects. This is the first time I still find it strange. |

Why did I open this thread? Hmm - your work is calling to me. I recognize the need to accept responsibility and the call to be free. Thank you for speaking to my heart and holding the mirror up for me to look into. |

Cacheborn I have a lump (a fibroadenoma) in one of my breasts just above my heart, and also some holes in my teeth. Could you try your healing powers on me? ^ ^ also, I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you. ^ ^ |

@AG : My pleasure @Greek Dog, @Angela : It's amazing that it called to you. I never expected this response. Maybe it's because you are part of me? @Roxyruby : I am sorry to have caused this problem in you. I do not know how I caused it. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. |

More on Ho'oponopono. I realized that I spelt it wrong in the title of the thread. Ho'oponopono - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Great thread, cacheborn. Actually, this thread and the recent talk of SR inspired me to revisit ho'oponopono. Interesting thing happened, today I got a call from the "Victims Hotline" with a recording to let me know someone was approaching release from prison. I didn't sign up for this service intentionally but the state provided it. I used this notification as an opportunity to do ho'oponopono on that person. Felt really good |

I came to know about just a week or back so. I am still in the beginning stages of practice. It's interesting because as you know, Dr. Hew Len used it to cure a full hospital of mental patients. It's also the psychological aspect of it that I found interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Just ordered the book Zero Limits online I'll open a thread about it as soon as I have it and have read it Rei; this might be an interesting read for you 100% Responsibility and the Promise of a Hot Fudge Sundae: An Interview with Ihaleakala Hew Len (got it from someone else here on the forum, would give credit if I could remember from who... ) |

I find it very interesting for my SR view of reality that so many people are resonating with this. If you all are part of me, no wonder you are resonating with it. That's very preliminary at this stage but I find it interesting enough to go on. Here is the story from Joe Vitale. H'oponopono

By the way I totally vibe with what he said about people coming for healing. It has seemed all the clients I have had were really showing me something I had going on. In the culture it doesn't always make sense to discuss it quite that way but there were matching things in every case, and I did take notice of that. I suppose now it's time to do some ho'oponopono on myself for how much action I take/don't take. About to check out the Vitale link... |

I'll read the article later, off to the movies to finally see "El Origen" or Inception as normal people call it

cacheborn, that was a really interesting article. How the mind sometimes likes to think things must be more complicated than that... Cool stuff!

One thing, for the last few 'days' I've been using the "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you." version of ho'oponopono. After reading these links I saw that it's also possible to use "I'm sorry. I love you." So I've been trying it out. For some reason "I'm sorry, I love you" FEELS more... something... powerful or high-vibrating or, something like that. Which was unexpected, but since you're exploring this I wanted to share that here
