intuition ?

Hi

I am a new member and only just found the site when googling or some answers...

Well, not quite sure where to begin...

I am a mum and have a 4 year old son and work full time as a youth worker.

my son's father and i do not live together and often our relationship has been on and off. recently something happened...

My son's dad decided that he wanted a cat and it so happened that my brother's cat gave birth to three kittens. one of the kittens i took and passed on to my son's dad. My son was excited about having a new pet.

anyway, over the last month the kitten has been settling in well;
one of the days i went to pick up my son from his dads and
when i walked in to the living room his oldest child was sitting down on the sofa and his dad went to sit back down after opening the door to me.
i asked about the kitten... the first question i asked was, "what's it like having a new edition to the family"? his daughter looked down at the floor... paused and replied, "it's okay", and went on to talk about what the kitten was getting up to. i remeber looking at my son's dad and he appeared to look a little sad, i think...? wasn't sure... as his normally miserable (especially when i am around!) you know, tentions when you're trying to move on from the relationship!

when i got home with my son, i put him in bed and eventually decided to go bed myself.

this is when it began... i couldn't sleep! i can't remember my thoughts, it as all random stuff!
then i started to suddenly get some kind of flashbacks... i could suddenly hear and see myself re living my momemts at his dads house. i could hear myself asking the question i had asked before about the kitten. (what's it like having a new edition to the family). then i started to get feeling on was able to observe back body language etc (like i was watching a recording played back to me).
just going on this i suddenly came to the conclusion that his dad maybe about to become a dad!! and the feelings were soo strong, i started to feel the emotions as if it was really happening. i couldn't sleep and couldn't ring anyone, as it was late! also thought that people will think am mad!
this happened a month ago approx. just to put myself out of my misery - after a few days of feeling this way... i called and asked his dad... "are you going to be a dad again?". he calmly replied, "no" and asked what made me ask such a question. i just told him that i had a feeling and that was it...

well since... only yesterday... we were chatting and he told me that his ex partner that he shares a son with - is pregnant! he says that it has nothing to do with him and that she is pregnant by someone she currently is seeing.

i am confused and don't know whether i should trust him; my instinct says, i shouldn't. i don't understand what all this means regards to my thought process?

also in the past a couple other things happened; just so that this is not long wounded i will just provide details of one other experience.

a few years ago - i was waiting for a bus to get to the train station. a bus arrived and i froze... in my head i was thinking, this is your bus why are you standing there... as i stood there... the bus then drove away. just behind another bus approached and i got on... but wondered why i never got on the one in front. with a couple of minutes my bus braked harshly... and then began driving passed the bus in front.
at this point i saw the bus that i never got on, the winscreen was smashed with cracks going right across it. on the floor there was a bleading, unconscious man - just lying in front of the bus!
i never predicted this to happen...

i won't go into anymore examples but wuld like to know what is going on...? I know that iam not a psychic...

Well, you may be more psychic than you think.

I have these sorts of experiences, too. For me, some of them come as "meaningful coincidences" (more or less like your situation with not getting on the first bus but taking the second one). Some of mine come in terms of "feelings" about people. Some come as images during the "twilight" state between wakeful consciousness and sleep, and some come as dream sequences during sleep.

I think that (when the label is truly warranted, not just when someone adopts the label to try to make money or impress people) those people who are termed "psychics" have these sorts of experiences quite a lot - plus they have learned to be accurate with the things they will share with other people. That is a considerable accomplishment. I'm like you, I would not use the term "psychic" to refer to myself... why apply the term loosely?

But it does seem that - at least with the bus incident - something valid was going on. With the other incident, with your ex, your account of it doesn't read like there is yet enough info to verify your feeling - although it may turn out to be accurate.

Often, people put a lot of energy into the external. They think about what other people are thinking, feeling and doing. And... I feel that it doesn't serve them as much as it would if they focused on appreciating the internal and growing in becoming the kind of trustable person they love to be around.

Your feeling that you shouldn't trust him about what he says, forget about that for a moment, and focus on a relationship you have right now that is filled with open hearted loving trust.

The more you focus on what you have that you appreciate, the faster you will achieve more of the awesome kind of relationship you desire

I agree with what Arthur has said here.

This is the main thing for all of us, I'd say.

Also, garnet18, it's probably significant that you chose to post your story in the Spirituality forum, rather than in the Psychic forum.
