I just gave someone some very powerful advice in a private message, and I would like to share some of it with you. I advised him to 'Get your intuition to approve of you'. I believe what we call intuition is a reference to that part of our mind that knows what enlightenment is. I experienced a very enlightened state for about 3 months and I got there through following my intuition. I focussed on learning to more and more fully accept the suggestions of my intuition. I have now come to believe that achieving unity with your intuition is a very important lesson we all must learn. As long as there are two parts of your mind, your intuition and 'the rest' you cannot be enlightened. In achieving unity with my intuition I followed some very simple, practical guidelines and I am surprised that I haven't come across any guide with simple tips and tricks for achieving that unity. Therefore here are some of the guidelines I followed: 1. Regularly ask your intuition, "What should I do now?" e.g. "What should I do now?" .... "Clean the house." "What should I do now?" .... "Quit your job." 2. Learning to let your intuition communicate more powerfully with you. e.g. "Could you show me some vivid pictures?" "Could you show me some relaxing postures?" "Could you show me a taste I've never experienced?" "Could you show me a slide-show of inspiring images?" 3. Learn to let your intuition take over your entire body. This is more of a skill, but it comes down to letting your body 'do stuff' without consciously instructing it. I tend to slowly move around and touch things or to go do the dishes or something like that whenever I do this. 4. Learn to resolve differences in understanding between you and your intuition. e.g. You: "What should I do now?" Intuition: "Quit your job." You: "But what about my wife and children?" Intuition: "You're able to explain them why this is a good thing?" You: "But I can't even explain it to myself!" Intuition: "Sit down at your computer and write a single page about why it's best for everyone that you quit your job." You: (go and write that page) Intuition: "With this in hand, do you now believe you can convince your wife and children?" You: Yes, I think so. Intuition: Great, then go do it. You: OK Does anybody have more tips & tricks?

Great Post. I have a question. How did you identify that it is your higher self talking to you and not your ego?? I have read somewhere that if you feel good and happy, then its your higher self talking. Is there a possibility that your ego can talk such as to make you feel good? |

You often talk to your ego instead. You'll notice by the road it takes you on. You can generally expose your ego through reason. (See tip #4)

There are many good books on opening up your intuition. Just go to amazon.com and search for books on intuition. Buy whichever one takes your fancy; it'll be the right one for you.

When I've been fear-based - taking a job because I was afraid I didn't have enough money.. it has resulted in manifesting a job with say.. a sort of nasty boss. I will admit I am still growing in this area though so my advice is from where I'm at right now However, a negative result resulting in fear/sadness/depression/anger may be due to listening to ego. For me what has helped is sitting with myself a lot more & really listening to what my heart says. & there are of course times when its your ego talking .. such as with addictions which temporarily make you feel good but the overall result is a downward spiral which is evident to many outsiders looking in. Gosh I hope this makes sense! |
