Silly question but: What exactlly is Astral sex?

Seriously? What the hell is it and how is it different from regular sex? Do people have sex in the afterlife or heaven or whatever you want to call it?

I think astral sex would be sexual relations that don't occur with the physical body. It would be different because it is the astral form involved, not the physical or biological form.

I would say regarding the physical act of sex, it probably does not happen in the etheric - but the sense of closeness, connection, mingling your energy with another, feeling the love or passion, most certainly still happens. Just not our textbook idea of what it is to have sex, more expansive than that.

I don't know how it would feel, not really my area of expertise.

In my understanding the astral form is another term for the emotional body. It has consciousness and sentience and can explore the astral levels of the universe. It even has ways of experiencing sensory input, so you can "see" from your astral form but it is not exactly the same as seeing with your physical eyes.

Erin would probably be able to answer your questions better than I can. I don't spend much time playing on the astral level, or not in the same way that most folks play there. I am usually there for business, not pleasure, and rarely go there alone.

Then again, if you feel a strong emotional connection during sex, you are experiencing the astral flavor of sex already.

I've read horror stories that sex in heaven is only a temporary thing and that people lose the need for sex in the higher realms. I find that horrible and I can't see why there would be no sex in the highest realm of heaven or astral realms and it only be in the lower realms of the afterlife. I really hope that is not true.

From the books I have read astral sex is the total melding of too conscious, a compleat sharing of everything, and something realy great. I have tried for years and havent got too far. desert rat

All I know is what I have read. Most describe astral sex in perty much the same way , a total melding of to astral bodies. I would love frist hand experince , but after years of trying cant do it consciously. Many belive we each go out during sleep and dont rember , so maby I have. desert rat

There is a story of a lady that visited a house for sale in her astral body , but only rembered it as a dream. When the lady that was selling the home saw the other lady she said oh my god you are my ghost. Over simplyfied version of a true story. desert rat

I've read that people are not necessarily ghosts but they look like they are in their mid 20's and at the peak of their physical health.

Astral sex is just the use of the subtle body, the body used in dreams, to have sexual intercourse.

It is actually taking place during physical sex, since then the astral body is inter-spaced into the physical. If you do something physically you are simultaneously doing it astrally as well. But when the astral body separates from the physical body, as it does during an astral projection, the astral form can engage in many activities of which sex is one possibility.

During a wet dream, it is the astral body which is having sex but the physical system mimics the astral performance and so the physical system has symptoms of sex at that time.

Sometimes when a dog is sleeping, you might notice that its feet act as if it is running. This is a case of the astral form of the dog actually running, while the physical system mimics that astral behavior.

I have herd the aka cord will streach almost to inifinity, but if you break it I think that meens your dead. I thought the sutle body was the energy body. The 4 body s being phy. , astral , energy , mental . I have herd of ghosts returning in there mid 20s. I think your astral image is the same as your phy. unless you change it. I sometimes wake up with an erection , as many guys do , and thought it mite be some form of astral sex. desert rat

One view is that there are four bodies as you say and another view is that those four bodies are simply phases of the same subtle body, in the sense that when it is energized to different vibrational levels, it is experienced as another type of body.

What I'm getting is the astral body is mostly the same as the physical one but vibrates at a higher vibrational frequency. I assume two people can still touch each other in an astral body the same way they can in a physical one.

That has to begin by properly analysing dreams, astral projections, out of the body experiences and so on, to test to see if such states are enduring and would continue if there was no material body.

I've heard it described by lucid dream and OOBE instructors as being similar to physical sex.

My experience so far with that sex as far as lucid dreaming goes is that I lose lucidity in the dream and wake up. Always. I have not been successful at astral travel yet so I don't know about that one.

I have felt the vibrations (more like a tornado) in the chest and ear ringing while being unable to move in the hypnagogic state. Wow, that sure is real and it's definitely not a dream or hallucination. I always get to freaked out (scared) to continue.

I had the exact same thing happen to me in my sleep, I was scared like I never been before because I was afraid I was going to die. Vibrations all over my body, a strange ringing noise, paralyzed, bright lights and darkness, and I was moving out of my body and floating upwards.
