| Hey All~ Micheal Tsarion is a-okay, IMHO. I've heard him speak in interviews a few times over the years. On Feet to the Fire Radio Show. And possibly on www.coasttocoastam or www.unknowncountry.com's Dreamland show - but don't quote me on that because I'm not sure about those last two. Anyway, he's very knowledgable, including about mythology in sort of a young 'Joseph Campbell-ish' sort of way. I love how he is able to seamlessly tell a bible story and then recount other known-in-history stories that go thousands of years back before that that are the same. Some people find this offensive or blasphemous - but I still go to church on occassion and actually find it utterly fascinating and educational. I'll admit that it did freak me out when I heard him say once, not to follow the light. But then I figured out that what I think he means anyway, is to not be dragged along into the gutter by so called enlightnred sources, resources and people just because we're told to. Or just because it's traditonal. Basically to not follow the crowd. So we can dig for the truth of things for ourselves. Read, experience and know for ourselves. And for me, that actually makes sense, considering that my whole view of the "church-at-large" has really shifted from how I thought of and experienced it before. |
