We've got dream interpretation, but what about life interpretation?

It's funny,

heaps of people interpret their dreams, like if you go sailing on a boat, it means something about being in control of your emotions, or if the water is really rough, it means emotional instability.

But does anybody actually interpret real life events?

Like, I'm writing a forum post, which represents my need to connect with people in the world, and share views. etc.etc.

Does your life have hidden meanings as well?

Oh I interpret life all the time!

Life speaks much like the way dreams speak, by way of metaphor usually. It's interesting.

Hey brendannz, I actually did this a few times last year when I was studying dreams and found it to be effective. All I did was write down the life events/circumstances I wantem to understand as if I dreamt them the night before then I identified symbols and connections and then did some interpretations. I gleaned some great insights from this. In my studies on dreaming I discovered that it was for more useful for me to rely on my own personal symbols and the meanings they have for me. Your question also puts me in mind of one of my all time favorite Steve Pavlina Podcasts called, "Consulting your intuition." He mainly talks about asking a question then seeing which mini movie appears in your mind and then he says to interpret the imagery according to the first thought that pops into your head after you ask what a certain word means for you. I use this method when interpreting dreams. I will try once again to work on interpreting life events, too. Thanks for the reminder.

I had a bizarre dream about a month ago, which I won't get into here. But, although it seems pointless, it told me almost every major concern that was on my mind at the time. Unfortunately, it didn't offer any solutions, but they say knowledge is power, so I'm sure I can figure out at least some solutions, or they may even present themselves either in dreams; or in life.
