Default Some grounding mantras

Having recently connected with a surge of motivation to do something to express love and compassion in the world, I've come face to face with a serious need to ground myself. I think most lightworkers have this issue. We want love, perception and spirituality, and the lower chakras seem less important or even "bad". At least that's what I've felt. Screw materialism, Love is the only thing that's real! Haha, I laugh at myself

As for the third chakra, I find I can enjoy this energy as a sort of play. I really like to decide how I am going to direct the course of my life and say "let it be so". I think it's quite divine. Still have a lot of work to do on this one, but it's OK for now.

The second and first chakras are still really holding me down though. I get that every part of us is divine, and life is a game, life is an expression of Joy, of the divine. All is vibration; red, orange and yellow are incredibly beautiful too.

That's the theory though, now for the work.

As you've got to start from the bottom, I've been writing up some mantras or one sentence self-reminders which I've stuck up on my belief board to get me in tune with my first chakra. This is what I wanted to share in this post, as I think it could be helpful to a lot of you. Feedback would be very welcome.

*

I enjoy manifesting my will on the physical plane.

I take pleasure in the interactions I take to flourish materially.

I care about what I do and the results I have.

I love the physical medium spirit has expressed itself through.
[Remembering that I am spirit and my body is a physical medium like the others]

I enjoy expressing myself through this physical body and feeling the joy of being Love in whatever I do.

This will manifests itself in harmony with all that exists.

This will manifests itself for the highest good of all.

I am all vibrations.

OR

I am all colours.

*

I hope this serves you like it's serving me. Talk to me, we are connected.

Andrew

My favorite 'mantra':

Everything will definitely be all right.

Nothing like a healthy dose of optimism.

how ironic or synchronous... last night and today i was thinking it would benefit me to focus more on willpower, motivation (in the mundane/physical reality), discipline and other such lower chakra ideas. i used to be even more ungrounded but there may still be room for improvement here.

a good grounding exercise i have found involves deep breathing and intention: "i intend that i am fully grounded in my body and in the Now." also helps to move one's focus all the way from the upper chakras to the root, works especially well to do this as i exhale.

a variation of this is to have your arms at your sides. as you inhale, keep your arms straight (but relaxed) as you bring them upward and have your hands touching above your head in a prayer position. as you exhale, keep your hands touching and bring them downward a couple inches in front of your body, passing each of your chakras (they usually separate on their own around the first or second chakra). i usually repeat this three times as it is more powerful that way and kind of 'locks in' the beneficial effects. i don't know if i have described this very well but it works for me. i often do this right before i am in a group setting as it is both grounding and centering.

p.s. i like the affirmations/mantras you came up with, Andrew! especially the first one. truly, i feel a combination of resistance and resonance with that one, but the resistance is about my preference for working with the upper chakras. which tells me that one is especially helpful - thanks!

yes, very shiny... like a fish!
i read in a book about shamanism that our eyes get shiny when we release endorphins. the lady had noticed this happen when she does soul retrievals. cool stuff. so, according to that idea you were probably in a good mood when the pic was taken. sure looks that way.

Me too. I'm prone to serious bouts of seriousness...so I need to be silly to balance it out!

You sort of remind me of a blase animal in this photo...like you're goin' "Meh" to everything!

I tried this and I really liked it - another one for my repertoire Thanks a lot rei. It has the feel of like getting all the chakras to be in sync - useful as the lower ones seem to want to get their own way and forget that they are made to support and not hinder the higher ones

Yes - sounds like it's for you if you get that vibe. I had a lot of resistence to starting all this, I had to look for the very most spiritual ways of viewing the lower chakras. Not "my will" but "this will". And so on.

I'm very glad to have been of help!

I added some new affirmations to my belief board today, about rhythm, a very earthly thing, I think.

Quote:
I enjoy expressing rhythm in my life.

I take care of myself according to the ebb and flow of my needs and desires, and any mental structure or schedule I create sensitively for myself.

I live in harmonic balance taking into account all my needs and desires and my higher purpose. I also take special care to balance action and effort with space, contemplation and rest. In all areas of my life I express self love.
