Hi all, I have been grappling with the above question for a while now and would love to hear others' viewpoints. I feel that I am total light while my significant other appears to be total darkness. I create the energy while he appears to be an energy vampire. I believe he is my soulmate and the one with whom I am destined to spend the rest of my life. Has anyone else ever grappled with this question and/or problem? Are we supposed to be total opposites? As in opposites attract? As in magnets attract each other because of their polarity? i.e., yin and yang. As in I'm positive and he's negative, but we are meant to be together because this is how balance is brought into our lives. I would love to hear anyone else's viewpoint on this. BTW, I'm not certain if this is the correct forum in which to post this. Last edited by ElizaJ; 02-13-2007 at 11:54 AM. |

If he truly is your soulmate, the positive aspects of each of your characters should make you stronger as a couple by making up for each of your weaknesses. In other words, you might be very kind and caring, but not so good at being organized. He might be very efficiently organized, but doesn't think of others as he should. Together, the postives make up for the negatives and, as a couple, you get to be both kind and caring and well organized. He shouldn't simply sap your positive energy while failing to have his own positive aspects to accentuate you. I would suggest you reconsider what makes a soulmate and be open and honest when discussing your relationship with him.

Matthew, thanks for the reply. You're right, he does have things that are positives to my negatives, especially the trait you mentioned - organized. But he has so many things that I consider negatives that I am always doubting, and now especially, if he's really my twin flame.
