Shouldn't you leave that type of instructional post to a person who is actually enlightened?

I didn't read your post but if you aren't enlightened, then it is just hearsay and opinion without personal experience.

I second this comment. Your blog post is well-written which says you're a good writer. But when you reach enlightenment - send me PM - I'll read it

I know of only one case of a person achieving full self-realization that was documented as a step by step process.
The rest of material on the subject doesn't worth the paper it's printed on.

I agree with the other folks. The best thing to do is to talk about your own experience.

Also, I did notice some grammatical errors. Several misuses of the word "it" and "is".

This is by far the most inspirational story I have ever read. It makes so much sense on a soul level!!!

I know I am not nearly there, because when he talks about being one, and being able to do all those cute tricks all I can think about is how cool it would be (it being an end, instead of a means to an end).

But his talking about loving being the way to pure happiness... about being able to let go of the past and the need to change it...

About peacefulness after happiness.... It is what I want (I would almost say, what my soul yearns for, but that would be a tiny bit melodramatic...).

I'm going to do what he did.... I will start with love. I will love everything and everybody.

I am going to save this story so I can read it over and over again...

Agreed. That was a great story.

I did actually read the article OP wrote. I liked it. I do believe that people can explain how something works without actually doing it themselves. Isn't this how science works, and even intention manifestation? No one's ever personally created gravity yet we can mathematically explain it.

One thing I would add is the experience of your personal relationships. Friends family, lovers, colleagues can fall by the way as they cannot fathom your desire to let go of your past behaviours, behaviours that may have gelled you into that particular relationship in the first place.
Yes seeking out other highly conscious or enlightened individuals becomes more important (which is why I personally joined this forum).
Just wondering where do you look to seek out others as enlightened as yourself?

I like your article rdshelmerdine. If you wrote it from your own personal experience you are indeed on your way to enlightenment. Congratulations. I agree with everything you say but I must add to your comment concerning enlightenment being our natural state at birth. After birth the ego develops and grows larger and larger. The ego masks the identity of our true nature - enlightenment. The trick or task is to discard all the baggage that covers what we truly are.

Your statement that "anyone can learn to be enlightened" is true, but not everyone is willing to put the effort into getting there. Most people want enlightenment but have the illusion that they can get there instantaneously by way of diffusion from a higher being of some kind. it takes patience, practice, and persistence.

Enlightenment is not flying high above the clouds or soaring on gossamer wings in pure bliss. Enlightenment is living a natural life with the realization that we (everything) are one. It is easy to say this and it has been said many, many times because it is true. That's what enlightenment is all about - knowing that we are all the same - one with everything. But that state of being is not easy to come by or easy to maintain because of the ego.

About to read the Lester Pdf. I need to recheck what I've wrote before I click publish a couple more times cheers Rhythman.

SarahJaynee I always find the consciousness in other people I meet but obviously at different degrees. I am looking to connect with similar people through my blog. I sometimes see Google as a big social filter.

If someone searches for "my true nature" or "spiritual awakening" and clicks onto my blog and adds me on facebook or subscribes to my feed then I've found someone who has awoken, is ready to awaken or is at least interested. I hope to connect with a lot of people online and then transfer to real life.

I have the whole social lag feeling at the moment where you rapidly change and your old social circle feels stagnant and dead but it will change. Just gotta keep holding that high vibration. I definitely agree. It takes effort just to stay motivated, or else you'll either forget to try, or just lose motivation from the lack of experiencing any results.

I've always had a side interest in this concept, and experimented with different ideas, but I was turned off by the ones that were too spiritual or with too much mythological overtones .

I wanted a step by step could show me how, if this state really existed. Other than that, I remained skeptical and kept this concept at arms length for a while.

When I found a book that claimed to show you how to experience enlightnment, in a step by step manner, I was very interested.

But even with this tool at my disposal, I discovered I was still procrastinating at it, lol.

I have been experimenting with it on and off especially when I use binaural beats, and found that (the book's technique) involves a shifting of awareness, you literally feel a shift, if only for a second, if you can do the exercises right.

The book tries to explain it in an up to date manner without any indoctrination, and even gives experiences from other users, and yet I still practice it infrequently, so spacedout has it right...
