Does taking small action really lead -over the course of years- to personal growth in results? I know acting big does, but I'm not sure about acting small. Below are my personal examples of how I'm taking small action vs. what action would I take if I acted big(i.e. had more courage/self-d/hard work capacity). I'm not asking you to give me an explanation based on your own examples, but rather based on the ones below. Of course, you can still do so if you find them stupid(therefore please provide your own examples). Acting small: -eating healthy & finding out what's healthy -improving focus and health by meditating -tidying the apartment so when I move out I'll have more self-d in this area(I live in my mother's home) -reading a book every two weeks to improve my intelligence and wisdom -not download copyrighted material Acting big: -telling my mom and brother that I'm into growth and I'm not considering ever getting a job -moving out so I can finally make my own decisions and spend money on PD: never get a job, no drinking or eating processed stuff, go raw, work on dangerous yoga exercises that improve health, focus and visualization(which you can find here), being allowed to eat more than one banana a day(yeah I know it's ridiculous |

Does it have to be either/or? It sounds to me like a combination of small actions and big actions might work at different times. For example, I usually start with smaller actions and then it builds up to something bigger.

| Inspired action makes sense I would definitely recommend starting with small action, it will build your confidence and will definitely help your personal growth over the course of months and years. Starting big may cause overwhelment, especially if you don't have many achievements in the field of personal development. Once you build your confidence through small action those big things won't look so big - they will seem like the next logical step. |

Personal growth primarily comes from putting ACTIONABLE KNOWLEDGE into your head. Taking actions is nice, but you're just as likely to create negative associations as you are positive associations without guidance. There is a reason people like Steve makes a ton of money - because the knowledge he provides is VERY useful in terms of pointing you to the right actions. |

There's a quotation that goes something like "Drops of water over time will wear down a boulder." That's not the exact quote but the idea is that tiny actions done consistently will eventually yield big results, like regular deposits on a small savings account seem insignificant at first. But after some years quietly building compound interest.... ! Keep up what you're doing!
