It's been soooo long since I read that story, but it seems to me that the two daughters were offered to them.... so why would daughters be offered if they were homosexuals? also it states they wanted to rape the angels and most take that to mean they wanted sex with male angels, but maybe angels are female? Just so many ways to read it and understand it. General lawlessness, & forced sex against someone's will is bad. that's the lesson I take from it.

Plus, how can a group of people claim homosexuals have no right to marry because they say it is stated in the bible, yet they themselves don't follow all the rules laid out for them in this book? divorce, extramarital sex, pre-marital sex, and on and on.

Luke 6:42
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Forgive me, I'm not 100% sure what you mean.
But yes the structure seems to be created with the potential built in to create life. So as science pieces together how life formed it will show a natural causal progression that can be explained without violating the laws of physics and probability.

In the big picture that doesn't rule out a creator consciousness who put the whole structure together OR the structure is a part of, a dream of, a manifestation of etc...

Deciding there may be a creator does not mean one particular mythology from one civilization out of possible billions is at all true of course.

I'm just looking at the cosmological constants among several other things and noticing that this was likely all planned or is part of an infinite number of different universes. Having an infinite # of universes doesn't exclude a god type entity either. We don't know the limits or cause of consciousness so who's to say a consciousness in one of the infinite different universes, with different physics, couldn't encompass the entire universe and have creative power to create new universes with specific laws?
Not likely? But working with infinities....who knows?

An example of evolution: There are thousands of cockroaches in the house. It is not apparant to the human eye but each cockroach is different in its own unique way. Some have longer legs, some have longer antennae, some have harder shells, some have shorter wings, some have bigger eyes, some have thinner skin, etc., etc., etc. Along comes the Orkan man and sprays for roaches. The roaches with the longer legs can run the fastest and get away before the poison kills them. They go hide in the walls and reproduce more roaches like themselves - roaches with long legs.

An example of creationism: God creates the heavens and the earth and all the creatures on earth. The creatures evolve.

Both who beleive in the existance of a creator and those who don't beleive, are safe in this lifetime. But only those who beleive in the existance of a creator are adding to their feeling of safety a further aspect after death. The question is: What is the origin of the need to feel safe after death? The answer might be of two possibilities:
- It's a normal feeling of the mankind to feel safe in every place he might be,
- It's the holy text which is the only source of informing people about Paradise and Hell.
Many people consider that non-beleivers are more wise, and that beleivers are more safe. Some of them say: it's more wise to be more safe. Others say: It's more safe to be more wise.
As experience confirmed, the truth always lies between debating parties not with one of them.
