Is there any way to measure your vibration? Can your consciousness level/vibration/aura be quantified? Maybe with an applied kinesiology scale, or aura readers, or can psychics pick up on it in a reliable way? Last edited by Athena; 02-03-2007 at 02:46 AM. |

also, some factors that I think contribute to/open up your vibration: environment- connected to nature, cleanliness, sunshine nutrition- clean, live, fresh foods, closest to the sun exercise- connecting to your physical energy, personally I think cardio opens up the mind sleep- full night of sleep, with natural wakening, for full connection to subconscious messages/source meditation- clearing the mind, connecting to source media- information sources you're connected to with clean, positive, progressive messages people- intimate circle of friends and family having positive energy, community of positive, progressive people yourself- not sure if there's an intrinsic factor, if your soul is at a certain level |

If you believe the levels of consciousness scale Steve posted on his blog has anything to do with an individuals vibration, I'd say you could use the particular actions an individual takes and their behaviour as an indication of their vibration. Eg. Actions associated with levels such as anger or fear would generally indicate a fairly low vibration, while those associated with acceptance would indicate a fairly high vibration. Of course, you have to be careful not to mistake a conscious display of low-vibration related actions with a low vibration (as people at higher vibrations can sometimes display the actions related to a lower level of consciousness/vibration at will without sinking to the levels associated with those actions... usually used when interacting with others to help them in some way, prove a point, or generally get through to them). While I'm aware that it is possible to temporarily raise your vibration, from experience, such a thing is not sustainable for long periods of time unless you have the necessary "foundations" supporting that level, so again, if you subscribe to the levels of consciousness/vibration belief, I’d say a snapshot of someone’s actions would give you a pretty good idea of where that person is at if you consider the range of actions/behaviour you’ve seen and average it out. I’m sure there are better/more efficient ways of doing it, but I thought I’d put this forward as a more down to earth thing that non-psychics and intuitive individuals can use to discern vibration to a reasonable extent. |

I'm pretty sure there is a way to measure your vibration. I took an aroma-therapy class a few weekends ago and they were saying how different essential oils raise your vibration. When I get home I'll post what the info they gave us says. I remember one thing it said..that Rose essential oil vibrates at 320khz... but it cost ALOT. There are cheaper ones that have on average 60 to 80 khz. I'll post more when I get home. |

I am currently reading the book Power vs Force by David R Hawkins. I have not tried this yet and am not claiming a position on it either way, but thought I would pass this information along because it might be useful to you. According to Hawkins' theory there is a very simple way to measure vibrational level or relative scale of truth using kinesiology. The interesting thing is that you can use this to measure not only your vibrational level, but the vibrational level of anything including both tangible and intangible things. Here is a brief overview. The following information is taken from the book. For more detail on how to do it and the theory behind it check out the book. The vibrational scale goes from 1 to 1000 representing different levels on consciousness. enlightenment 700 - 1000 peace 600 joy 540 love 500 reason 400 acceptance 350 willingness 310 neutrality 250 courage 200 pride 175 anger 150 desire 125 fear 100 grief 75 apathy 50 guilt 30 shame 20 It takes two people to perform the test. The method uses a binary yes or no questioning system. For example, Matt's vibrational level is above 200? Matt's vibrational level is above 300? etc. 1.) Have the subject stand erect, right arm relaxed at his side, left arm held out parallel to the floor, elbow straight. (You can use the other arm if you wish.) 2.) Face your subject and place your left hand on his right shoulder to steady him. Then place your right hand on the subject's extended left arm just above the wrist. 3.) Tell the subject to resist when you try to push his arm down. 4.) Now push down on his arm fairly quickly, firmly and evenly. The idea is to push down just hard enough to test the spring and bounce in the arm, not so hard that the muscle become fatigued. If the answer to the question is 'yes' the arm will stay locked, if the answer to the question is 'no' the arm will not be able to resist the pressure and will fall to his side. |

Bruce: thanks, I'm wondering if you can elaborate on what foundations are necessary to secure each step in raising your consciousness? Is primarily internal, your thoughts, the re-wiring of your brain to match a new level, and corresponding actions? Or primarily external, the routines and environment and workflow to match? Perhaps both; it would be nice to have a more concrete idea of how you can speed up and secure raising your consciousness at each step. Most of the literature on "vibrations" seems pretty theoretical and in the clouds, including much of Hawkins' work; it would be nice to bring it down to earth into specific actions you can take to nurture your own evolution. tylersch: that's interesting, I've also heard of a vibration or aura meter from Emoto's work, though not sure if it can be used to measure people. Sunny: thanks for the explanation! I read some of Hawkins' work, and that's a good idea to use the kinesiology test with his scale to measure individual people. I will try that, maybe even more effective with a spiritual teacher or someone experienced with applied kinesiology. === As for how to raise your vibration, I read both Power v Force and Transcending the Levels of Consciousness by Hawkins, but both were more for explaining his scale rather than offering direct methods for raising vibration. Also btw, I think that besides "raising your vibration" another way to look at it is simply as clearing your mind, shedding any false ego ideas and dissolving the thought circuits and habits associated with them, and opening them up to the truer and purer ideas of love and connection and spirit. So there isn't so much work to do in climbing the levels, but rather opening up and clearing the mind to more spirit based thinking. |

Hawkins doesn't use an emotional scale because the levels of enlightenment aren't emotions. The highest levels have to do with awareness/consciousness identification itself, something which is said transcends emotions and even thought. Enlightenment is rare enough though I can understand calling your scale emotional just for practicality. To each his own scale. | |
