Default "Normal" thinking...

Hi everyone,
I was wondering, since you have began PD-ing and become more aware of your own thoughts/conciousness etc... do you feel that you have "lost touch" with "normal" ways of thinking??
For example, think of a time when you were young and new little of how to control your own mind... when what you did was all you knew, so it HAD to be right. And how somewhere along the way your way of thinking and doing things may have changed. And now, you are trying to "correct" it.
I often wonder if there is a "default" mode for our brains that most people are tuned to and stay that way... but some of us tinker with the settings and keep tinkering till we get the desired effect.
What would it be like to get back to that default setting?

Any thoughts?

Very boring.
