How does a person know when it really is astrotravel? One night, not too long ago, I was in a place where I could smell the air, taste the water. It was salty--was at an odd place near the ocean. Remembered talking to someone about a past life I had had. I felt the mud under my feet. Saw the cats eating from their bowls in a back porch of a house. I just want to know if anyone could describe what it is really like when you may astrotravel? Thank you.. |

For me, my experiences with astrotravel feel much different than a dream. I feel as though I am more physically having an encounter or that I am actually in a real place. And usually in an awake state, when I describe to people the events of one of these experiences they respond in a much more excited and sometimes even frightened way than if I am just describing a dream full of symbolism. In other words I feel as if my energy and the energy I connected with was denser (or at least I was open to feeling it that way) than when I dream more symbolically. I would say trust your feelings on this. It sounds like you know this experience may have come from a denser place.

When this type of astral experience occurs, it is usually the case, that one feels physical even though in fact it is astral. From repeated practice, one will know the situation and realise that the astral body acts in that way because of dimensional synchronicity. Please check my book Meditation Pictorial, it has details about this type of experience. https://www.createspace.com/Customer....do?id=3380228 Amazon.com: Meditation Pictorial (9780981933221): Michael Beloved: Books

These capacities of the subtle body vary according to the way it is energized. By constant practice in meditation and in astral projection, one can gain a considerable amount of control of this. As in any skill, the more you practice, the more will be your proficiency.

This is why the Tibetans take the trouble to find their spiritual masters, the senior monks, when those advanced persons take rebirth. They try to trains such boys so as to keep the psychic senstivity in tact. I agree that you shouldn't pressure him but you would do him a favor if you would just explain to him the way the subtle body operates, so that he is not effectively pressured by persons who will dismiss the experience as just a dream.

I've personally found indicators (such as, it always always begins in the room that you're meditating in, and you'll feel vibrations,) quite consistent in themselves... however, what about false awakenings? That's a dream that you wake up. It usually starts in your bedroom, so the former isn't exclusive to astral travel even if I have personally found it consistent. As for the vibrations... I actually read somewhere that they're supposed to disappear after a while unless I'm doing it wrong. ;P Like bellyflopping instead of diving into the pool every time. So, when there are no vibrations... how can you tell? The only real way you can really tell, is if you can verify with somebody else if something happened the way you saw while out-of-body, or if another projector can verify a shared astral experience. I haven't been able to do any of that myself, so I sometimes post in doubts about there being a line between dreams and astral projections, but a part of me nags an explanation that the rest of me finds annoying and unacceptable: "I just know." Hope that helps. Somehow. Last edited by Albalida; 08-10-2009 at 06:46 AM. |
