Semi-successes at Astral Projection

Hey everyone!

I'm new here, and have a burning question for all of you!

I think I may have almost managed to project yesterday. I can't really tell.

I've been trying for awhile now and most of the time I simply fall asleep (and slept like a log each time .. mmmm).

On my first attempt yesterday, however, I felt myself rising and this feeling continued for awhile till I was certain I must have risen out of my body, except I couldn't see anything. I figured it was probably cause my eyes were closed, so I tried opening my eyes. Not my best ideas. I immediately felt as though I was falling, and falling fast, until I found myself back in bed, eyes wide open. I didn't see anything and felt like a ball thrown up and falling back down.

The second attempt spooked me quite abit more. As I felt my body relax and the tingles begin, I begun telling myself "pull yourself out". As i felt lighter and lighter and got the rising feeling again, I started hearing voices telling me "pull yourself out" and "come on". I cant tell how many there were, or if they seemed good or evil, or male or female. I didnt manage to get out cos I got spooked big time.

Anyone have any advice? I was wondering what the voices were. Were they something I imagined? I've read about spirit guides but how would they know what I was thinking?

Your guides always know what you are thinking. They would be less effective guides if they didn't. But don't worry, they don't judge your thoughts. They were probably trying to help you succeed at your goal at the time (i.e. astral projection).

Relax some more and try to observe what is happening rather than try to control or direct it.
