You are in a restaurant, you are at the table with your partner, and you are with two other people. I want you to make the observation that you think differently and interact in a different manner with your partner. You maintain a conscious dialogue to present yourself differently to your partner, then you do to the two other people at the table. But as well, based upon past experiences, interactions and communications with the two other people, you notice that you interact in a different way to each of them, but still differently than you do to your partner. The perception of your personality that you have of yourself, and the one have imposed upon your partner, and is yet again different than that of one you have imposed onto the two other people at the table. With this situation we come to the impression that while we have a conceptualized perception of what our personality is, we need to understand that not everyone see us that way, they have come up with their own reality and impression of who you are. This was meant to show you that the perception that you have of yourself is different than of every individual you interact with. This shows us that just because we perceive something to be our reality (like our personality), it doesn't necessarily mean that it IS our reality. Now you are in a room. The construction we call our reality is just the assimilation of all the knowledge and observation we have made in our growing human life. My perception of reality is different than yours. We have common elements because we have the same senses to learn the world with, but if you ask 2 people to describe a sunset, they will assuredly have different responses, based upon their perception. Same physical entity, but 2 different perceptions of reality. You are standing in the center of the room, this room doesn't have a physical limitation of size or height. You have a small hammer in your hand. Surrounding you, are large shards of glass, going from the eternally expanding ceiling to the floor. Each of these shards of glass represents the perception you have of every insignificant thing you know, and every entity that defines YOUR perception of reality and how people perceive you. Your shard for physics your shard for religion your shard for the way you say 'i love you' to a partner you have a shard for everything. You smash every shard of glass in the eternally expanding room. You are now standing in an eternally empty room. The perception you have of reality was just smashed to tiny bits, but it will eventually come back, this is the job of the ego. When you can shatter your perception of reality, you can begin to understand how the world looks from the perception of a tree, or a car, or any construct of our realm, you can understand the root and purpose of it's existence, and it's critical purpose in the universe. You start to see where YOU are in this world. My conclusion of this understanding was the perception of myself from the global and universal perspective, to realize that I am just an animal in the evolutionary world. Things like religion, politics, and economics are conceptualizations of the mind, you cannot hold an immediate object and say 'this is politics!', like you could with corn. When you can hold this perception, you can start to deconstruct the elements of society, and physical reality. Last edited by Bative; 07-01-2009 at 11:04 PM. |

Imagine that you have a perceived system of levels that you must 'accomplish' before going to the next one throughout your mental lives. This is the general systematic view that humans place upon energy. We tend to think in 3d though, and often constrict our conceptual ideas to the confines of a 3D reality. Imagine you exist in a world where you are represented by a physical being that can exist in more than 1 place at a time. For instance, you can exist in town A, B or C, or all at the same time, in varying portions of your mental capacity (I can be 70% mental capacity in town A and 30% in town B). In this world, each of the stages, or goals (that only YOU have the perception of the reality of, your goals may have no relevancy or reality to anyone else) are like towns on the map. Each of these towns has a a path leading from it to every other town on the map. Some towns are hard to find, and you may get lost in them. Some of the paths are short, other long, difficult, easy, etc. Some towns you may never even know the existence of. You can exist in multiple towns at the same time, but only if you had discovered that town in this moment or in memory. Imagine yourself on your path, place yourself within this world and apply it's physics. What towns and levels have you discovered? What ones do you exist in the majority of the time? What towns do you have little bits of mentality stuck in? Importantly, if you KNOW that each town has a path to every other town, and they may be hidden, or hard to course, then you can use that to your advantage. Paths that we choose to walk are not levels of elevation that I think we should seek to ascend to, but beautiful areas to wander and discover. (perhaps a bit reflective of my personality..) |
