Western spirituality and Asian spirituality

Moshi moshi,

I've been thinking about spirituality lately, and I looked at spirituality in Asia, and spirituality in the West. I've never actually been to China, but I feel like spirituality seems more "accepted" over there, if that's even a correct word for it. It's usually well respected.
Over here in the West spirituality is often portrayed as weird, something for hippies, woozy, full of scams, as Luciferianism and what not. It's definitely not respected.

However, I often find that most people will agree that Chinese monks are really honorable folks and are definitely spiritual (or they'll use another word for "spiritual").

I find myself more attracted to the Asian spirituality myself, or actually the idea I have of it. It just seems to attractive to me: Consciousness, and nothing else. Just be. Go with the flow.

I'm calling it "Asian spirituality", but isn't spirituality a wrong choice of words in this context? I'm not sure, but I believe in Asia, they're talking about life philosophies. Ways of life.

Now, I'm definitely not an expert on Asia (even though I'm an Asian myself *shame*), so if anyone would know more about the differences between spirituality in the West and the East and how it's looked upon, please enlighten me!
For the others, what do you think of the difference? Do you perceive any difference? What are you attracted most to?

See you around,
- Joshua

I asked a very similar question on this forum on June 9th; "Why are Eastern people more spiritual?" There were 44 replies. You may want to go back in time and look at the comments.
