Question Spirit Guides

Hi,

I am new here. I just started taking an advanced development class, I finished the basic classes. I was told that we must give messages to others in the class every week and in addition to that we were given two sheets with 41 abstract words (love, ocean marriage, ect). We have to work with our guides to come up with universal symbols for these things. I don't know the names of any of my guides. I have tried for years in meditation to meet them and I don't understand why they don't want to work with me. If they don't to hell with them, because now I am frustrated and angry. Others in the class got images and pictures, I got nothing and felt like I had to pull something out of my ass to say. Are there any guides around me? Maybe I am one of the few who does not have any. Any Advice

You have guides.

You are not picking up on their signal, that's all. Did your teacher talk about people who are claircognizant or clairsentient? It's much easier to talk to guides if you are clairvoyant or clairaudient.

In what manner is your teacher helping you contact your guides?

No, she is addressing I guess clairvoyance. This not fair, so i am wasting time. In order to do other modalities, you have to complete this class first and go on.

That's odd... you have to complete a certain task/class using a non-dominant modality before you can move on? Interesting structure....

Explain more about the class structure. How many weeks/lessons is it? Can you see ahead what she is going to cover? Has she indicated that you don't have to be proficient to continue or do you have to demonstrate some proficiency to continue to the next phase?

The tiltle of this is advanced development 1,class lasts for four weeks, each week we will stand and give messages and do symbol work. Symbols are the focus for this class. In advanced developement 2 you work with flame messages, billets, and channeling (trance work). (four weeks). In advance development 3 it is platform for people who want to do this professionally. It meets one monday each month. I do not believe i am clairvoyant, but sometimes I will get images, but not all the time. I am at a loss to be there and this is not my ability. We have to sit in meditation everyday and work with these symbols. She also said something about intuitive seeing. It erks my nerves, because everyone else knows their guides. I have been meditating for over eight years, and have not gotten anyware. I see the same damn colors all the time and sometimes I just fall asleep because spirit takes to long. I can ask a question of them and not recieve an answer. That is why I question if they are there. When I had to stand and give messages the first night the only thing I felt was energy towards the person it was for other than that, my maybe guides did not send me anything to tell, so I said what I thought should be said.

Yeah you're just having a modality issue. This does not seem like a very good structure for you. It's like putting a deaf man in a music class and he can hear the beats and rhythm but couldn't tell you the words in the song. So he could say, "yeah, this is an upbeat song" or "This is slow and melodic" but not tell you, "The song is about love and loss."

Don't give up on yourself though. find a different teacher I say.

I would suggest that you begin a meditation practice to develop some psychic ability. Some persons are naturally psychic and some are not. If you are not you can develop it through meditation.

So if that is the case, why is it that I constantly hear that everybody has some psychic ability. If we all have psychic ability it should not be difficult to develop. Now I am beginning to think that this whole psychic thing is BS

Everyone has it, you just have to tune into it, like finding a radio station through all the static. I'm in the same position as you - can't seem to get any feedback from my guides, but I will keep trying

If we all have psychic ability it might take more effort to develop in those of us who are not gifted psychic like Edgar Cayce. Now I am beginning to realise that this whole psychic thing is BS, if a person thinks that everyone is an Edgar Cayce. I will have to consider if I really want to develop this since it will require some meditation and concentration and perhaps some other type of devoted practice.

I guess I should not be that way. All I am saying is that eight years is a long damn time not to get anything. I am beginning to think that meditation is a joke anyway. It did not get me anywhere but more frustrated and angry. Yet people in class were able to acess crap about other people. I have this silly ass class tonight. I am only going so I can get to the other modalities.

I think you need to change your views. You are very negative about this situation right now so you are closing yourself up which will be detrimental to your success.

I know you feel like this because of the past experience but you don't stand a chance if you are thinking like this.

You also might ask your deepest self if there is any part of you that is afraid that psychic abilities are real. If they are, what would that mean to/for you?

Negative?? How would you feel if you were in the first night of class and was told you had to get messages for others in the class.When you don't know what the hell your modality is?? As it stands now with these symbols I drew my own symbols, because they what they are to me. My guides did give me anything except a migrane headache for sitting in mediation so long.
