Never heard of them but now I know there are three chapters in my locale.

What is bothering you?

I am probably not the right person to ask, though. I find all religion, so far, to be extraneous to my private connection to God.

In the wikipedia: Association of Vineyard Churches - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
is this book mentioned: Not The Religious Type by Dave Schmelzer ISBN 141431583X -
A perspective on faith in Jesus from a former atheist-turned-Vineyard pastor.
Are you familiar with it?

I discovered this Forum is adminstered by atheists, so
I don't know how much help you can get.
Personally,
I was born/raised in an atheist-&-communist country,
that in my teens, I was blessed leaving.
PRAISE God!
Next, I spent 3-decades in my family's religion,
before realizing that too was harmfully wrong.
Since '93, I have been inside a church but 9x,
for by God/Jesus' positive encouragements... I focus on modeling our family's life...

I think different churches of the same organisation can vary a lot because there are different individuals leading them. What is it thats bothering you though?

Question Thank for all the replys

Thank you to all who replied. I have found your views very useful.

To answer to one of your views(seirwyn)First of all thankyou.!

They have been really nasty and its really confused me about what a church is there for.

I have a heart for god and I went to a church thinking to find others that would share the same interests.
Unfortunately all I found there was everything that Jesus would never do. It broke my heart because it confused me about the whole church thing. Well Christianity just seems to be an excuse for a social and nothing about the spiritual journey.

And upon mentioning anything spiritual the looks I got was enough to tell me to shut up.

I so want to do the right thing(according to the church)....but my experiences at that place are just soul destroying. ( I think I agree with dreamline) and It seems that the more spiritual you are, the more christians crush that.
But then on the other hand I have only ever experienced christian life from the vineyards perspective so I really do not want to paint them all with the same brush. It may only be that one church that is like that....(and I don't even think it is a church but a movement). oh whatever....its all a bit much.

Thanx all for your replys and any opinions will be very much appreciated.

........Kind Regards.
