I think University of Metaphysical Sciences DOES go into depth in a lot of ways, especially with the meditations. I have started my classes recently, and I have experienced such a difference in my world view already, it has already started healing me (Healer Heal Thyself First) and it has done what it's promised, filled in the gaps in my knowledge. I didn't even think I needed more healing, which is the amazing part of it, since I've been doing my spiritual homework for 20 years and already started working with clients. I do think that the degree title is important if we plan on doing any work in the world, because people are programmed to want to see a degree behind a person's name if they go to that person for help. It shows that someone is more serious and actually did some studying rather than someone who just hangs a shingle advertising their services for sale, but had no training, they just wing it. I personally want to see someone with a degree if I'm going to spiritual counseling, so that I know if they know what they're doing. I don't want to just go to someone who just elected themselves to be a healer or reader or counselor but has no formal training. Maybe that's just me, but most people are like that. I've had people ask me what my training is, and even though I do powerful work, I can't say I've had any real training. So I think the degree title is really important in this day and age. People are starting to expect it in the metaphysical field, especially now, becuase people are more cautious than they were before, after that James Arthur Ray ordeal. People aren't so easily convinced anymore. The other thing is, a publisher won't even look at your book these days if you don't have a degree title. Gone are the days of getting your spiritual book published if you don't have a degree. Things have changed. So, University of Metaphysical Sciences is the answer to my prayers! In more ways than I realized. I didn't realize i was going to get so much for such a cheap price! I feel like I made a really good choice. Oh, and the woman who does the meditations, Christine Breese, all I can say is WOW! I got into some seriously altered states of mind with her meditations. I felt like I went beyond the universe yesterday with one of her meditations! It was amazing. |

I just enrolled in UMS today. The course listing is impressive, and I think just about anyone could learn a lot from at least some of the courses. I agree that a title can be useful in order to show that you are an authority in the field. We'll see how it goes, but so far I really enjoy it. |
